Big Syds NL Tourney 2/15/05

Played pretty well! 25 people, $50+$10 buy in, came in 2nd.
Was heads up with Jesse one of the Terp Boys.
Should've chopped with him, but since I haven't takin down 1st here, I decided to go for it! Chop would've been nice considering it would've been split right down the middle for $468.50 each of us instead of takin in $312.50.

Well lets see how the night went. Started out very slow, in on the table 2 with ScottieA, Aaron, ScottN, BJ, Ben, Brian (dude that plays at Bumpers), myself and I think im missing someone, but his name is not coming into mind right now. Aaron kept callin it the table of death lol. Anyway, 2nd hand into it, Aaron and ScottieA was battling, ended up pushing all in for the both of them forcing ScottN to fold his would be BOAT lol. Scottie has the nut straight with Aaron catching the smaller straight. But why was I dealing and ended up flipping up a Ks that was supposed to go to ScottieA giving him Big Slick unsuited. I ended up giving him a 10h which made him suited with his A lol. He was chip leader for a while! im hanging in there losing to blinds not playing alot of hands.

anyway, game breaks down to the final table.
I come into the final table 9th out of 10th very very short stacked.
wow what a come back, after being 7th of 7 i move up to 4th, then made another power move to 3rd as folx were getting eliminated.

Got heads up with Jesse, i had him 2 to 1 at first, lost a couple hands, got down to even then just trouble. I flop an open ended straight. He pairs his 9 on the board. (flop 689 rainbow) I got 74d and was able to check preflop. I pegged Jesse pairing the 9 cause he bet out 2000 i raise all in hoping he runs. he doesn't lol, i miss the straight so im down to my last 4000 chips. end up pushing all in off some BS Cards and paired my 7 which doubled me up. go at it again, 83c in the small so I push again lol..83c VS. A4d oh well, I'll go for it again next Tuesday, but this is my best finish yet!

I have a feeling I'll be in the money more often now that I have learned my strategy as long as I stay with my game plan, im good to go! I can say that I have been makin the final table with no problems now i believe i can be in the money all the time no problem.

Glen Burnie Tourney is comin up Saturday, but I will miss it because its Cheyenne's first Ice Skating class and I wanna be there for her, but that evening is my Headhunters Tourney! as of today got 13 registered so hopefully it should fill come Saturday and I should have some good stories from this tourney. Hopefully this can be an every Saturday Event if this one goes successful, This tourney will make or break the decision if this should be an every saturday thing.

Best believe I'm takin this one down as well!!!!
