Borgata Winter Open

After pink broke this weekend, I had to go straight to Pops house for the bad player $500 freeroll. He kept track of all tournament play during the 2007 at the SHOP. I was bottom 10! I'm a bad player and what do bad players do? Bust out tournaments quick!

Played Pops $1-$2 NL game till it was time to head up to AC...I don't know how I drove all the way up there with the rest I had, but I did it.

We got to the Tropicanna and walked through the poker room to say my hello's...If you haven't already known, the Trop has been going downhill lately but I still love the Trop...but there wasn't alot of tables going when we got there. We didn't play there cause I wanted to play the Borgata Late night cash tournament. So we head to the Borgata and barely make it, but got to the poker room and I couldn't find where to register at...So I didn't play, but ended up sitting at a $10-$20 FL Omaha H/L8 Game. There were 2 tables next to each other and Andy thought they were 2 way OE8 games...but they werent, the table andy decided to sit at was the OE8 game, the table I was at was strictly an O8 game. I was playing well the whole game and ran my stack to a dime till goofy guy comes over and sits back down from earlier...He was shipping it when I first sat down and he wanted to take a break and he came back later....Cep't this time, his goofinss loosened me up a bit and I proceeded to leak chips back into the game...I looked down and leaked $200 back to the game and it was 7am already...I had to get some sort of rest before playing the Borgata Open's Limit event so I cashed out and used the winnings to pay for the tourney. FREEROLLIN!!!

Wow at the tournament, The first couple of dealers were garbage...shuffled slow, dealt slow, couldn't run the game very well, and some of them even paid attention to the big screen TV's with th NFL Play off games showing...anyway, there was a break every 2 rounds and the first 2 rounds, I didn't rake a pot in...I splashed around a bit, but never got a pot to go my way...the River killed me EVERYTIME. Some of the hands shown down I didn't understand why they would play the hand they had to the river...maybe cause AKo looks real good to them? Or was it cause the chips didn't hurt them if they lost it...I heard that alot at my table as players scooped in pots that were retarded, "these early levels if you lose a pot, cause the blinds are so small it can't hurt you..." LIES...maybe its not hurting you all, but it sure is hell killing me!!!!

Coming back from break, It was my turn for the best hand to hold up, Its about time the 1 pair draws didn't get there!!! Don't get me wrong though, my stack still suffered from idiot plays, but I happened to have a nice come back to look down to over 10K in chips....then it started happening again...I lost a ton of chips when it was 1 minute to go to dinner break, ATc on the button with 4 limpers behind me, I pop it up and everyone calls, T high board with the flush draw is out there and its checked to me, I bet, and only got 1 caller, we are heads up to the turn/river and a non flushy 2 comes out, checked to me, and i bet, he calls...River is a K and he checks, I bet, he raised and I wanted to punch him caus I know what happened here, i of course called it and he flips over AKo...NH sir....Coming back from break, blinds are not 400/800 and im short with 2900 chips left....i look down to J9s in late position and jam my chips in, heads up on the flop and I flop 2 spades, check, I bet, he calls, Turn gives me a gutshot, check, bet all in, call, River bricks out and his 1 pair is real good! I believe it was over 310 players and when I went out it was 19 tables remaining...Going back to go chill in the room, I was gonna go catch a movie at the Imax theater at the trop, but of course I decided to see if they can spread a 2 way game downstairs and end up sitting at a fishy $1-$2 NL table, quickly trippling up my stack, I run into my cooler players....the first guy was catchin AA and KK and JJ tagging sets, straights on my ass...I told his ass I aint giving him nomore action LOL Then, some Asian kid sits down and he is running the table over, I finally get a hand to play him with and get into it....Kid makes it $12 to go with 1 caller before it gets to me, I raise it to $25, Kid calls and the other guy folds, Heads up. I'm holding QQ...Flop: KhQh7h, I lead out $75, he calls, xd falls on the turn and I lead out $150 and he calls, River brings a 9h putting 4 hearts on the board and I mush all in for my remaining $165 +\- and he thinks...he calls, I'm about to much my cards and say "your flush is good, I only have a set." He says which one, and I flip over my flopped set of Queens, he turns his flopped set of Kings over and scoops the pot and I got mad as shit for him slowrolling me like that...if you are holding top set, why ask which one and not just flip it over since its obvious its no sets out there larger than his set of Kings...I had a meltdown the rest of the morning and proceeded to ship it....Our table breaks and I move to the only $1-$2 NL game going at the time...I stacked off on a bluff before it was time to go....I look down to 24o on the button. Stupid Indian, Won't shut up Guy makes it $12 to go...4 other callers to me and I make it $65 to go, everyone folds cept the old Asian guy...very quiet guy...Flop comes out K37r, I make it $85 to go leaving me $52 behind and he starts talking to himself, what did I get myself into here...he kept saying, he has Aces...I thought he was gonna fold till he said, oh well, if im wrong, you deserve this, I'll put you all in, I insta call lol and gets none of the board, nor the pot!!! NH Sir, Hurry up Andy and wake up so we can go back to MD...he calls down 15 minutes after that hand and I leave when I was under the gun....

You are the biggest fucking fish in Maryland. Nice hit with your second set on the four-flush board. Way to mush when you can't beat anything.
