All Is Well

All is well, I haven't posted in a while cause I haven't been really in a writing mood these past couple months...But tonight, I'm sitting around hanging out not really doing anything so I might as well update my blog.

Let's see, Last I left off was at the Winter Borgata Open. Nothing really has changed, its been the same thing day after day...Games been running strong, down to dealing just Steve's games. I said I was gonna make more time for myself and not involve poker everyday and thats what I just been doing. I'm even thinking of getting one of those Jobs...Thats just showing you how bored I am during the day now a days...I figure I'm only running the game on Mondays, Deal on Thursdays, play Big Chris game when he has it, Play Pops game on Saturdays, during the week, I should be able to get some rest and go to work...Maybe im just bored though...but we'll see how that turns out...

Other than that, I jumped out there and grabbed one of these XBox 360 joints. Been playing Call of Duty 4 like a champ! Even Cheyenne is good at it for her age...sometimes she does better than me on some boards lol but that Online is MONSTER!! We also play Rock Band and Guitar Hero III so if you tryin to get blasted or rock out, look me up on there!

Oh yeah, its one hand I wanna tell cause it was extra funny at Big Chris House...I'm talking trash to Reymond, so he makes it $10 to go in a $1-$1 NL Game...I of course call with the worse hand, Qd3d, flop comes out 2sJd5h and he bets out $15, after he bets out, I announce I have a diamond draw and I promised him I will get there, so I end up showing both my cards to him and ask him if he still wanted me to call, he tells me do what I gotta do, and shows me AQo...i say, damn, I guess I am losing huh, so I call his $15 bet, turn brings a lovely 6d, I laugh and say see...he checks so I follow right behind and check, river brings a 4s and I look at him and say dag, and he insta mushes all in...in confusion i had to look at the board again and call lol, i have a straight, Reymond says huh? Shit, I was so worried about the flush and it didn't come, I didn't even look at the board lol, we all got a good laugh about that for at least an hour!

Borgata Winter Open

After pink broke this weekend, I had to go straight to Pops house for the bad player $500 freeroll. He kept track of all tournament play during the 2007 at the SHOP. I was bottom 10! I'm a bad player and what do bad players do? Bust out tournaments quick!

Played Pops $1-$2 NL game till it was time to head up to AC...I don't know how I drove all the way up there with the rest I had, but I did it.

We got to the Tropicanna and walked through the poker room to say my hello's...If you haven't already known, the Trop has been going downhill lately but I still love the Trop...but there wasn't alot of tables going when we got there. We didn't play there cause I wanted to play the Borgata Late night cash tournament. So we head to the Borgata and barely make it, but got to the poker room and I couldn't find where to register at...So I didn't play, but ended up sitting at a $10-$20 FL Omaha H/L8 Game. There were 2 tables next to each other and Andy thought they were 2 way OE8 games...but they werent, the table andy decided to sit at was the OE8 game, the table I was at was strictly an O8 game. I was playing well the whole game and ran my stack to a dime till goofy guy comes over and sits back down from earlier...He was shipping it when I first sat down and he wanted to take a break and he came back later....Cep't this time, his goofinss loosened me up a bit and I proceeded to leak chips back into the game...I looked down and leaked $200 back to the game and it was 7am already...I had to get some sort of rest before playing the Borgata Open's Limit event so I cashed out and used the winnings to pay for the tourney. FREEROLLIN!!!

Wow at the tournament, The first couple of dealers were garbage...shuffled slow, dealt slow, couldn't run the game very well, and some of them even paid attention to the big screen TV's with th NFL Play off games showing...anyway, there was a break every 2 rounds and the first 2 rounds, I didn't rake a pot in...I splashed around a bit, but never got a pot to go my way...the River killed me EVERYTIME. Some of the hands shown down I didn't understand why they would play the hand they had to the river...maybe cause AKo looks real good to them? Or was it cause the chips didn't hurt them if they lost it...I heard that alot at my table as players scooped in pots that were retarded, "these early levels if you lose a pot, cause the blinds are so small it can't hurt you..." LIES...maybe its not hurting you all, but it sure is hell killing me!!!!

Coming back from break, It was my turn for the best hand to hold up, Its about time the 1 pair draws didn't get there!!! Don't get me wrong though, my stack still suffered from idiot plays, but I happened to have a nice come back to look down to over 10K in chips....then it started happening again...I lost a ton of chips when it was 1 minute to go to dinner break, ATc on the button with 4 limpers behind me, I pop it up and everyone calls, T high board with the flush draw is out there and its checked to me, I bet, and only got 1 caller, we are heads up to the turn/river and a non flushy 2 comes out, checked to me, and i bet, he calls...River is a K and he checks, I bet, he raised and I wanted to punch him caus I know what happened here, i of course called it and he flips over AKo...NH sir....Coming back from break, blinds are not 400/800 and im short with 2900 chips left....i look down to J9s in late position and jam my chips in, heads up on the flop and I flop 2 spades, check, I bet, he calls, Turn gives me a gutshot, check, bet all in, call, River bricks out and his 1 pair is real good! I believe it was over 310 players and when I went out it was 19 tables remaining...Going back to go chill in the room, I was gonna go catch a movie at the Imax theater at the trop, but of course I decided to see if they can spread a 2 way game downstairs and end up sitting at a fishy $1-$2 NL table, quickly trippling up my stack, I run into my cooler players....the first guy was catchin AA and KK and JJ tagging sets, straights on my ass...I told his ass I aint giving him nomore action LOL Then, some Asian kid sits down and he is running the table over, I finally get a hand to play him with and get into it....Kid makes it $12 to go with 1 caller before it gets to me, I raise it to $25, Kid calls and the other guy folds, Heads up. I'm holding QQ...Flop: KhQh7h, I lead out $75, he calls, xd falls on the turn and I lead out $150 and he calls, River brings a 9h putting 4 hearts on the board and I mush all in for my remaining $165 +\- and he thinks...he calls, I'm about to much my cards and say "your flush is good, I only have a set." He says which one, and I flip over my flopped set of Queens, he turns his flopped set of Kings over and scoops the pot and I got mad as shit for him slowrolling me like that...if you are holding top set, why ask which one and not just flip it over since its obvious its no sets out there larger than his set of Kings...I had a meltdown the rest of the morning and proceeded to ship it....Our table breaks and I move to the only $1-$2 NL game going at the time...I stacked off on a bluff before it was time to go....I look down to 24o on the button. Stupid Indian, Won't shut up Guy makes it $12 to go...4 other callers to me and I make it $65 to go, everyone folds cept the old Asian guy...very quiet guy...Flop comes out K37r, I make it $85 to go leaving me $52 behind and he starts talking to himself, what did I get myself into here...he kept saying, he has Aces...I thought he was gonna fold till he said, oh well, if im wrong, you deserve this, I'll put you all in, I insta call lol and gets none of the board, nor the pot!!! NH Sir, Hurry up Andy and wake up so we can go back to MD...he calls down 15 minutes after that hand and I leave when I was under the gun....

Another stgrong Monday

Monday ran real strong this past game...Game broke at 2pm Tuesday afternoon...full table pretty late again.

I usually have to leave at 7 so I can make it home and wait for Cheyenne to be dropped off so I can take her to school, after that, I go straight back to the game and jump in...

Ship it.....Ship it....Ship it.....God damn, im already in for Nickel and it hasn't been 30 minutes LOL

Take a small break to shake it off and get back in the game again...ran that up a lil bit. Played my QQ real weak against Trav...Doubled up a couple hands...Jay stopped by in the morning to run his stack up to a lil over $800....he shipped it as fast as he raked it in...

Wow I played bad this past Monday...Just got lucky to hold on to my chips after closing the gap up a lil bit...

Re-charge the Bunny!

Guess the batteries died.

Its 10:51 am and I'm at home washing clothes, when I should be asleep being up all night at the pink game, but yeah, I'm at home cause Pink Broke at 7:30 am this morning. Guess from a marathon $1-$2 NL game, comes a slow Pink game to follow.

Just weird sitting at home at this time. Pretty cool to see Saturday's daylight also. Its been quite some time since I was able to see the sunlight on a Saturday afternoon from outside instead of sitting at the table looking out the window.

Game was pretty nice, couple set backs put me in a mood early in the evening, but I got over it and all is well. Sorry if I snapped at anyone last night. Stuff just got complicated for a second there...Nothing going on till Monday, unless Big Chris has his game this Sunday, if not, I'm looking at a couple days off to rest and play some Guitar Hero III on the Wii :o)

Just like the energizer bunny

We keep going and going and going and going....

Goodness...Monday's $1-$2 NL game went till Wednesday morning officially breaking a 4am. The game got pretty sick, Monday night, "chips" is all I heard coming from Travis' mouth every 15 minutes for reloads. I don't know if its cause Monday didn't run 2 weeks straight cause of the Holidays or the right table assembled Monday night.

I got into the game for a semi-short buy and dwindled down to my last $57 bucks when I ran into the a viscious heater. Started when O pushed all in obviously with a big hand, Travis just calls, I thought about pushing my stack in there, I called with the nutz. Flop comes out 369 and travis throws a bet out there and I insta called, turn brings another 6 and we both check and long and behold the lovely 5 drops on the river.....MUSH is the sound my chips made sliding into the pot and get called for me to scoop with a straight....under all the wow's and me laughing, I hear travis call me a dumb ass. LOL

I ran my stack up peaking at $1400 when I know my heater is done, I go on leak tilt. I leaked off a rack of redbirds trying to stack Justin and his Boy. No medic in site, im just glad that they finally quit cause I wasn't quitting until I got the chips they held or until I passed out on the table...

Well, we I finished the night off on a positive note, a not so bad start to the new years!

Oh My God!!

"Oh My God!!" Means nothing...sometimes...after all the delirious-ness of pink, that little phrase was extra funny to me so I kept saying it till everyone else kept saying it!!!

I swear, if its one game that I can't wait for, its Pink, Its hands down, one of the most fun games to ever be at! The action is CRAZY, The players are "real goooood" and its just a great time to be had by all! Harry and Natalia are a show in itself, while the rest of the local MD Circuit players...well, its us and if you been to our games, you know we can be a great bunch of people to play poker with and be around!

Anyway, to bring in the new year, first game in was Pink...and yeah I tried to play "Gooot!" I sat down at start cause a bunch of players came earlier than schduled, so we got the game started, as the players started filling in, I got up with a small profit...but its very early, so I refuse to act like its a win...When I finally was able to get into the game foreal, I shipped it...Travis wanted to play so I got in the box for a little while to break even, got back in the game and SHIPPPED IT! Took a small break and got back in the game to keep the game going...broke back even and we stuck some other games into the rotation since we got 5 handed...Kept Tahoe and Omaha in, but we took Stud H/L out and stuck Razz and Pitch and Bitch into the rotation, Ricky bobby never played it before so I said, go grab 1 stack and play, so you can learn, its fun...While im DEAD EVEN..Ricky scoops the shit outta me not once, but TWICE in a row!! Who the hell told this guy to play???? I'm rolled up with 4s, and Ricky hit a wheel with on 5th street...Oh My God!

Game breaks and we head straight to Pops house for his Head Hunter Tourney, I bust out fairly quickly when my KK runs into the monster 9To, Blinds are 50-100 and I make it 400 to go, Pete calls and and we are heads up, the board comes out 259r, I lead out $1200...by mistake, I put out 2-500 chips and 2-100 chips, when I meant to lead out 700, Pete took it as a bluff with me trying to over bet the pot, and then I started acting like me as usual and he pushed all in on me, I insta-call and he rivers a T. DONE. I didn't try to over bet the pot, but then again, I definitely didn't mind the push by Pete either.

The cash game was $2-$4 H.O.R.S.E. with a Full Kill...I didn't play too long cause I had to pick up Cheyenne, but we played a little while, and while waiting for the tourney to end, we played $3/point Chinese Poker...None the less, I shipped what I won plus some out of the pocket in H.O.R.S.E. and left to go home...

Oh My God, what a way to start the year off!!!!!!! Red is such a beutiful color specially on my spreadsheet!

Happy New Year! 2007 In Review

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone partied safely New Years Eve to bring in 2008!!

I haven't writtin on purpose cause' I wanted to wait till the new years and start fresh. So on that note, I hope everyone had a great Holiday this month and ready to take on '08!

2007 was a decent year, this was my first year not working in a real job. I'm not going to say it was easy to pull off, but I did it this year! Let me be honest, if I was solely dependent on poker play, I'd already have lost my house, prolly staying with my parents and prolly working the corners of 13th and M St, NW catchin tricks. No I wouldn't go that far, but you get the picture.

I have to thank the hosts of the other MD circuit home games for giving me a gig different nights of the week to deal there games, I also have to thank my players for supporting the Pink Game and the Monday Night NL Games! 2008 Ricky and I will come up with more things to show our appreciation for our players attending our games. Seriously, Thank you all very much for the support this past year!

Like I said, 2007 had allot of ups and downs, suprises, drama, twists and turns...It had allot of happy days, sad days, scary days...Lets go back and look back at '07 and see the memorable moments!

- Dealt a hell of a lot of games this year!
- Sick Hit' N' Run - Travis has KK, Jeff has JJ, New Guy (Jake) has AQ, Jake is just calling
through out the whole betting sequence and everyone is all in on the flop, Trav's KK gets
to the mighty AQ for a <$800 pot and right after, Jake says, "fuck that, im done!"
- 2nd Year at playing ATLARGE, I final tabled the NL event for a 8th place finish.
- Running Pink and the Monday Night NL Games with Keenan after moving from my Folks
house.
- Going to Atlantic City with Keon and Travis for one of the greatest cash game sessions ever!
Not only did all three of us come home a winner, Travis and I dominated the table to be known
as one of the SICKEST $1-$2 NL games ever! Then we get pulled over and Keon tells the cop
may all his pots be live and his cards be monster. What a jack ass! Its even funnier cause he
said it backwards!
- Took a trip to AC with my parents, I was able to bring Cheyenne with me, we got to hang out
at the Steel Pier, play arcade games at the arcade, and wonder around the hotel, then at night
I threw chips around the poker table, My parents and Cheyenne were able to watch the action
from the outside at the Showboat.
- After 3 years, $1 for $1 for pots <$100, the Bad Beat Jackpot was finally hit! Coach Jimbo and
Jefferson were the players that hit it, AAAKK vs. AAAQQ. The Jackpot was $5500 bucks!
- Travis and Nelly break up and that marks the fall of the Donkey Coral Legacy.
- Keenan moves in a hot room mate, NL Game is now on hold, Pink game is now squatting at
different host's homes. Started at the Coral, Then moved to the Pdoggie's Playground.
- I catch a bad beat from Gypsy Pete after him selling me a fluke ass Cadillac STS, then him
running off with out getting my money back or a new car.
- Wanting to rebuy 1K in a $1-$1 NL game that ran for 2 days straight
- I get a new partner for the Pink Game and the NL Game, back at Laurel! Ricky and I are
running Pink and Monday Nights, The game has taking a big change for the better!
- I cashed in the FTOPS VI, Event #6 - Stud H/L.

I finished up the year and celebrated New Years Eve like I do every year, I hung with the crew, the OG's of that good ole 5 Double 0...Played some cards and got TWISTED!

So whats new for this year?

- I plan to improve budgeting of my money.
- I would LOVE to be more disciplined when playing poker...It seems to me that just because
I have back up income source is an excuse to play bad...its not, I should be playing more like
its my sole source of income.
- I need to work on actually keeping a poker bank roll.
- Keep poker tracking in the black, Red SUCKS!
- START MAKING TIME FOR MYSELF INSTEAD OF POKER ALL DAY, EVERYDAY!

I hope everyone has a great 2008 and i'll see you up AC at the tables!

Here I am...

Well, its been a while since I have written anything. I just haven't been in the writing mood these past couple weeks.

Lets see...

I picked up a new dealing gig on Wednesdays...Timmy runs a $10-$20 H.O. rotation game, its a pink game on steroids, I love this game, 30 minutes a round of Holdem, and then it switches to Omaha H/L for another 30 Minutes, I'd rather be playing than behind the box, But the box is so much safer, I did ship it last time I played, so I'll be in the box next week.

The Pink game has been running really strong. Sometimes might last a couple days! Those weekends are pretty brutal, but its sooo much fun! If you don't already know, Ricky and I got the spot back in Laurel and run pink and the Monday game.

I finally got a ride, so I'm back on the road! I picked up a nice 95 Lincoln Continental. All leather, power everything, its wet! No it wasn't from Gypsy Pete either...worse bad beat of the year for me by far...Those of you who know Pete, he is a pretty good guy, His credit was good with me, and we got along really well, definately want him at the table splashing chips with you....Last August, after me saving money up, finally had enough to get me a ride...He said he could get me a nice Caddi, and he did, and I payed him in cash for it...sweet, took a look at it, its fine, drove it around the weekend, all good, then the problems came out quick, so he took the car back to have it fixed, 1 month he strung me along...still giving him the benefit of the doubt cause he was good peoples to me....then, it got harder to get in touch with him...cell phone is off....not returning emails, PM's, nothing....starting to take it as a loss...he left me a bucket as a loaner car till he found ma new one...i think the loaner car was the car he was gettin me before he all of a sudden disappeared, guess he did that to make himself not feel as bad or guilty? There really isn't nothing I can do....but take it as a loss....definately a $4k loss...oh well, im ridiin now Thanks to Ricky Bobby who looked out like shit!

December is here, Christmas, Cheyenne's Birthday, so its gonna be alot of dealing and less playing this month.

Lets see if I can keep this up like I used too....

FTOPS VI - Event #6 Stud H/L

Decided to play this event just to see how I do, some how I decided to play this since Alex, a local player around here offered to stake me for a tourney during the FTOPS events, I accepted and decided to play the Omaha H/L tourney, Blah, its not limit, its Pot Limit...and I hate PL...But its H/L, so maybe I can work something out...

But I decided to buy my self in the Stud H/L Event since it wasn't that expensive to play...$100+$9 to play in the event...

Started with 806 Players paying out top 96 players...

I cashed in the 2nd tier of the money ladder, wish I could've takin it down, but at this point of the tournament, the blinds/antes left me with no more than 3BB left...I had to push it in with the best cards I could find since I was pretty much card dead after the bubble busted...

Not bad though, just wish I could've done better!

78th place out of 806 for a $225.60 cash.

Back At Home!!

After a long time squatting in different places to have my pink game, we are back at home finally!

Thanks Noelle and Paul/Dave for letting me host the game at your homes the past couple weeks!

Well, as you all know, we are now back at the old spot, "The Russett Room" is what we call it and Ricky Bobby and Myself are running the game, Travis, Bi and Kevin are my new dealers and this past Friday was the first game back! The game went smoothly!

We were trying to be more of an upscale game compared to the other games now, just trying to step our game up, Home made food, Made to order food after the main dinner is served at start of game, Breakfast made to order if the players are still playing in the morning, Thinking of bringing in a waitress...Just trying to have a better game than the games I've hosted the past couple years!

I can say the 1st game was successful with a full table all night long! The dealers did a great job, and everyone had a great time!

Mondays will bring back the $1-$2 NL game as well!

This is definitely the start of a great game!

Other than that, I've been really busy, thats why I haven't really updated lately, I've been working almost every night dealing games and if not dealing, I'm playing...So the days are for me to sleep 'till Cheyenne gets off school, then its Daddy/Daughter time till she goes to her Mothers house in the evening, the poker starts back up again...

My BR Management experiment is still going, and its in the negative! lol, Combination of playing bad and running bad, but I will get over it, and really try and focus on playing better...I just wish I can be consistent...its so hard, especially when I start to have fun at the games when I should be serious and trying to make the money...

Sleep is Over rated

Its been a while since I posted simply because its been a busy 2 weeks for me.

Lets see, where I left off was going to Tim's $10-$20 HO rotation game.

Basically, I just been working and playing trying to get this money while I can before games start to slow down again...

I picked up a new dealing gig at Paul's place on Tuesdays...Its a $1-$2 NL game, but I like to jump in the game and give action after a couple of shifts and let Mikey, the other dealer there deal the rest of the night away...Its been cool, haven't rally been doing to bad playing there....

Wednesdays have officially died out. Its just hard to get the players out to Nellys for the Wednesday game, I just can't get the players out like Travis used to be able too...If you don't already know, Travis has been staying in Pennslyvania the past month cause things just didn't work out with the two of them...But all of a sudden, Travis gets his life back in order when Ricky and I found out that we got the place back in Laurel...To help offset the rent over there, Travis will now be staying there and thats where Ricky and I will be running the games from...But thats another story when we start that back up...

But Travis shows up at my doorstep after he has an interview with Money John's company. Money John is a player from Steve's game that has his own company. Sitting around talking Wednesday, we decide to go up...It didn't help that JB called and wanted to go up as well...Well, Travis didn't have any money to go, so I lent him some and borrowed money from JB so we all can go...God damn it, off to AC we go...

So figuring out where we are going to play, Its a simple answer, to the Trop we go, but I remembered the Borgata started running a late night Tournament...I've talked about going up just to play it cause I like the Borgata Tournament structure. So we end up going, JB and his boy didn't play any poker while we were there, but Travis and I jumped in the tourney, before the tourney started, we had about 40 minutes to kill so we sat at the $2-$4 Limit table to mess around, No Looky, Raise it up, cap it up...It was fun to frustrate those players there...Guy hits Quads on me and says I wish it was NL...Heh...Poor fool must not know I'm just messing around there and its only $2-$4 limit, He is pretty sure I pay him off if its NL...Fish, he wishes it cause I wouldn't have been in the hand in the first place if we were playing NL...so the tourney starts up and I last 5 rounds...I just lost huge pot when I flop 2 pair and the guy hits a set on the turn and I have to bail out....It was a good fold and he showed me it was by showing me his Set...whew, dodged that one, but now im under 10x the BB and look down to AKo...I go all in early position to get called by someone with less, gets to the donkey woman who goes in the tank...She then says, I guess I should call cause my cards look pretty (she didn't say they look pretty, but thats what I imagine whats going through her head)....OOOPS, I guess im done...GL you all

I flip over AKo
Guy that called instantly shows AJs
and the woman...flips over her monster KQo

wow, did you really have to think about calling with 2 all ins in front of you with KQ???? You all already know where this is going, but good lawd, I just wonder why I can't go far in these tournies the way some of the players play, They play sooo Bad its sick...

FLop comes out QQ4 and now I have no shot...Me and the guy with AJ just say wow, NH lady and laugh it off...and I go out on the floor and watch JB and his boy play Roulette for a lil while Travis is playing in the tourney...

I come back to him and look at the field, and he mentions to me, its funny how they these players out lasted you huh? So gay...I swear I wanna go back up and play again...

We head down to the Trop and jump on 2 differnt $1-$2 NL tables and I pretty much break dead even when Travis ships it, so we decide to just go home in the morning cause I gotta be home anyway but afternoon when Cheyenne gets off school...

I deal Steve's games on Thursdays and his game has been running really well...

Now Fridays, the Pink game has been sick the past 2 weeks, Last Friday was the first Pink game at Pauls house, I moved it from Nellys to Pauls house for different reasons. Locations, etc, etc...blah blah blah...

Remember the marathon when we moved from Laurel? Well, this time no breaks...Game started at 8PM on friday and ended at 8:30AM........not saturday..but Sunday Morning...36.5 hours straight! WOW...That was SICK...I am not sure if it was just that Friday...Lets see....

So now you know how my week has been going, this week wasn't any different...cep't on Wednesday, we didn't go to AC, I called Keon to see about this soft $1-$2 NL game he goes too...Lets go....so we head off to VA for this game,

Its a decent game and when we walked in, our mouths started to water...you can see just how fishy this game is...Funny, I sat down thinking, this is a fish game, im shipping it...and I sure did..It wasn't cause I was playing bad, well I could've gotten away from 2 hands, but being Tilt is a helluva drug...I shipped it...wow the cards ran me down something fierce...Its nice to see that they think im the biggest fish that came out LOL, I'll see them in 2 weeks and get my bread back...

Pink ran this weekend again...I'm just now waking up not too long ago cause I got home this morning after the game finally broke at 10am Sunday Morning, and the game did start at 8PM Friday night...another 35+ hours of pink...it was sick again...I was stuck in the game a lil bit, but came out un-scathed...not bad for as long as I played, stuck less than 1 rack..whew...

Guitar Hero III came out today, so what am I doing typing on here? I gotta go, just felt I needed to catch up on my blog...Got another busy week coming up...Felt good to stay home instead of going out with Travis and Kenny to a $1-$3 NL game, save me a good $500 bucks tonight by staying in the house...Now im bout to go online and play some guitar hero...last game I played I got punished....Let me get punished again, if anybody wants to play online, I got it for the WII so look me up if you tryin to rock out!

Biggest game I've ever played

I decided to go against all bankroll management rules and take another shot at a big game. This is the biggest game I've ever played. $10-$20 HO8 (30 minutes of Holdem/30 Minutes of Omaha H/L8). This game was GREAT! I actually played good tonight. Lately, I've put my head into the game and play right, specially that I want to reach a goal by the end of the year. Luckily for me I only dropped $360 of my BR th other night, so I'm looking to make it back tonight.

I decided to go and play at Tim's game tonight after I got my hair braided. I only played a couple of hours bcause you guessed it..I'm still car-less waiting for the guy that I bought the car from to replace the lemon he sold me...This shit is starting to get old, but Keenan was nice enough to pick me up and take me to the game...I owe so many peoples rides when I get my car, so I guess I'll be the designated driver to drive to AC for a while LOL. Anyway, since he has to go to work, we left earlier than normal...

I ran my stack up to a little over $800 in a couple of Omaha hands, thats where I mad most of my money. I shipped a lil bit with QQ when I had to slow down when an ace falls on the turn and I had to bail out. AK and A9o was calling me down for no reason at all, none of those hands hit the flop, it was pretty gay. Then I tried to peel before we left when I flopped trip aces in Omaha on a AA8 board, I'm holding AK69..yeah I know, I don't even know why I was in the hand in the first place...but Keenan and Ali are going crazy the whole way and im sitting there trying to peel, I miss and Ali and Keenan flopped a boat, but ali was holding the aces full while kenan had the eights full...

So Keenan ships the rest of his stack, game changed to Holdem, and Its time to go...I cash out a rack of redbirds for a small $100 profit...Blah...I should've made WAY more than that...i wish I knew Omaha was gonna end and I wouldn't have tried to peel LOL

Big Chris Tourney/Cash Game = Sickness

WOW!!!!! If you don't already know...let me begin to tell you about this sick ass game.

we started the day off on Saturday with a $75+$10 NL Tournament. It was 11 players paying out 3 places...we got down to the final 3. Congrats to the final 3. We decided to chop since I couldn't wait to get in the cash game, plus I was just tired of folding and the blinds were up there, and for single table tourney, we had gone almost 3 hours already...lets finish this thing up and play cash game, looked like everyone was standing around waiting anyway, so lets get it going...Finally busted Ryan in the bubble and decided to just chop the money.

1st - Jizzle - $325 ($495)
2nd - E - $250 ($247.50)
2nd - Cody - $250 ($82.50)

Cody and I were pretty much even stacked and Jizzle was chip leader, Jizzle didn't want to chop even money split between us 3 at $275 each, so Cody and I decided to give Jizzle $25 each to him and we split the rest up evenly, he took that deal and we chopped it up.

Now to the sickest $1-$1 NL game ever in history......

For the first 1 1/2 hour, I got in for $100, my first couple hands I shipped something small to th new guys and added on for another $160, so now in im the game for $160...I get on a huge heater and next thing I know im sitting with more than $900 bucks. The new guy has allot of money, its actually 3 of them...he keeps re buying, re buying and re buying...he decides to ask if he can get in for $500, SURE!!! The rest of the table agrees and this is where the fun began! I somehow get the most cooler hands ever...

First off, My AA gets cracked with a J7 when the new guys hits his gut shot on the river...for a nice dent in my stack, im steaming, and get QQ...There is no point to slow play cause the new guy only folded 8 hands the whole night preflop, whatever the bet was preflop, he was right behind you, mind you this is a $1-$1 NL game and if you made it $32 bucks, you will get called in 3-4 spots! My QQ ran into his AA and it was all in preflop...OK, now my once $900 stack is down to >$300 bucks and look at KK...get it all in preflop with the new guy...yup you guessed it, he is sitting on AA again. I stack off and im STEAMING. I almost re bought for $1K...was talked not too do it cause I was tilting, so I got in for another $600, now I'm in the game for $960 bucks...my whole BR that I was trying to re-build. I somehow went on the biggest roller coaster ride ever...at 3AM, the table was holding on to <$3,500!

Its 4PM and the skins game just ended, it was still 7 of us playing and the game was very sick still...Chris has to go but we don't want the to break, Jizzle is sitting with over $2K, I'm at $800 close to breaking even, Kenny with over 1K and the rest of the table had misc. stacks. Big Chris calls last 2 orbits, and what do you know...the last 2 hands were the cooler hands!

2nd to last hand Jizzle and new guy are going at it...I know Jizzle made a $500 turn bet that was called and on the river, new guys pushes all in for the remaining of his stack...Jizzle showing us KK with the board having 4 diamonds and doesn't have a Diamond. He makes the laydown and new guy shows AA AGAIN!!!

Last hand, I call $30 Preflop with Jd9d and flop 2 diamonds, I call a $75 bet on the flop and turn a diamond...Keon checks, New guy checks, I make it $100 to go and he pushes all in....I have $600 behind and don't want to risk it if I lose...I make a deal with him, I'll keep the original $100 bet, you call that and we'll run it out, I stress its the last hand so lets keep it kosher, whats in is in...he agrees and shows me a boat LOL the turn card was a cooler for the both of us, I ship it and walk out there with a $360 loss....Sucked but the new will be back faithfully he says, I like this kid, he has alot of gamble! I'm just happy to walk out with more than half of my BR back..."Whew, what a ride this was" I said as I walked out the door.

Honestly, never will we see a $1-$1 NL game like this unless everyone at the table loses there head like the other night....$4K on the table is just SICK. Typical buy in is usually no more than $40 bucks, here we are one night r-buying for $500+ each time or even adding on to a stack of $200 with $500 LOL, Poker is FUN!!!

Pink Game - Getting close to the 1K mark!

Pink game ran this Past Friday, Ran well, and a good time was had by all as usual. We are coming to the last couple weeks in October and the move back to Laurel is in arm's reach. Monday games will be back in action with a whole new player base and Friday all nighters should be back in action when we are back in Laurel. There are plenty of good changes to be made with Ricky Bobby being my new partner for the games. Everything should be great when November rolls around!

I did get into the game and managed to run my stack up after getting in the game for $150. Yes it is a very short buy, but it works for me, I tent to play a disciplined game and by the time my stack has ran up more than 1 rack, im already used to playing that way and play that way the rest of the night, so I don't ship it....I used to be th biggest pink fish here, but after a long break from playing, fine tuning my game, I have learned a few things for limit poker and now im not doing bad at the game. I'm pretty sure still have some leaks in my game, just waiting to notice them so I can tune them up, so my BR has grown more and I almost reached my 1K mark, Just know im very shy of breaking the 1K mark!

Game #2 - Pops $5-$10 Dealers Choice

Alright, I said I was gonna take a LONG shot at this game...

I called Pops on the way up there cause Keenan and I were talking bout, this is too big of a game to play Dealers Choice too...Its a Holiday today, I'm chilling, I want to play some cards and have some fun at the same time, DC is just too wild of a game on top of that, and $5-$10 can get pretty expensive. It was not agreed on, so the hell with it, lets gamble...$5-$10 it is!

Game started out and the low-ball games, (Razz and Badugi) I kept bricking...I started getting frustrated. I pretty much put up what I won from Chris' game the other night, so I wasn't too happy at the time.

I managed to get back all of the money and run my stack to up a little over $300. Keenan is not too happy, he keeps shipping it, he wants more chips, so he says lets flip...he has $54 to flip before he re-buys. They want to run out 7-card stud, but I tell them I found a new way to flip, its extra fun, I learned this watching some players at Steve's game flip $100's at the end of the night...Anyway, the game goes like this...All cards are mixed up in the middle, everyone grabs any 2 cards and rolls 1 card up with out looking, highest card gets to pull the flop out the pile of cards, then next in order pull the turn, then river. I rolled a T which was the highest, and pulled the flop, AKK hits the board, a 9 gets pulled and a duece gets rivered, I squeeze my last card, and the tip showed and called a 7 out, pissed cause a pair of 9s were leading, i opned up my cards all the way and it was a K, not a 7...SHIP IT! "SLOW ROLL, SLOW ROLL, SLOWWWWWW ROLLLLLLL"

Well, I cashed out an even $500 to add to it, so its slowly getting up there...I was gonna keep a running tab on here, but that might be a little too personal as far as exact $ amount, I'll just give updates soon as I hit my 1K mark.

Taking a shot

This is going against all BR Management rules...

Gonna take a shot at Pops $5-$10 Dealers Choice Game...wow...

This was a fast experiment!

Strarting from Scratch - Game #1 - Big Chris House

I'm going to start from scratch with this new "project". This should get interesting...

I'm going to re-build my bankroll off with a hot $60 bucks, thats a Min buy-in at the $1-$2 Tables...but at Big Chris house, its not $1-$2 NL, its $1-$1 NL. Most of you all know about this game already from my talk about it or blogging about it. After my lesson from last Wednesday, I'm going to go into this game a little more different, I'm going with the intentions to make money.

Night started off slow, thinking all my cousins and boys were going to be there, not everyone showed up, but it was decent. Here is the good thing about it, its no raked game, but there is a dealer...Buddah dealt first shift, so he was pretty much the only person to cash out for the night, the rest of the night were re-buys after rebuys, and alot of switching dealers. The good thing about jumping in the box here, is that you get tipped, and after someone busts again and has no more rebuys, they jump in the box and the dealer before them circulates those chips again! This went on all night, till 8:30am this morning, Big Chris walked into the room this morning and was already ready to go to work, us, not even realizing that the sun was up! It was alot of crazy hands, I hit a straight flush this morning when I flopped a flush, but it was a gutterball SFD. I turned it to complete the SF, but that 4th diamond to hit, ruined the action on the river, cause my brother flopped a straight on an all diamond board and he thought I was drawing to one more diamond.

Anyway, I ran my original invested $60 bucks to $325 for a $265 profit. I put back the $60 so now its all free-rolling from here on out. Problem is, $265 is not enough for a $1-$2 NL game, I mean I could take a shot and get in for 1 buy in at $200 and see where that goes, or I can just wait till' next week to play at Big Chris house again.

So Game 1 of my new project was good..lets just hope I can run well this month and build it to $1K+ by end of the month.

Always Learning!

The Wednesday $1-$2 Game was on and poppin this past Wednesday, and if you ever Talked to Erick, Everytime we have chinese food there, the actiong gets pretty disgusting. Well thats what we ate. The game looked to be a short game with Nelly and I actually playing, but we had a nice turn out with a couple new faces.

The action was pretty sick, The chips were flying none the less! Ran my stack up peaking around $570 or so...and the way I was playing, well, I was playing like I do at Big Chris house, Like a maniac. if I came in the pot, i came in raising, and really didn't care what 2 cards I was holding. If it was straddled, I made it a point to raise it, specially if alot of limpers. Simply put, it was a hell of a roller-coaster ride! I was just in one of those moods, I didn't care if I lost, and my stacks fluctuated up and down, up and down.

I doubled up on a nice hand., UTG I look down to AJo, Limped around to Jefferson who makes it $12 to go, I call, Kenny calls and I think we picked up another caller as well. Flop comes out 78J (2 hearts). I check, Kenny checks, check, Jefferson makes it $20, I insta call, Kenny raises it to $80 folds around, and Jefferson doesn't look like he wants to fold then does it, I re-evaluate my hand, Kenny just bluffed me off a big pot couple hands ago, I decide to go all in. With kenny covering me, after the $80 bet, it was only $93 bucks to call or something like that. He thinks, asks me if I have a SB Special, I sit there as to try and give nothing away, Now I want him to call, he does, turn brings blank, river brings the flush out, I turn over AJ and he looks at his cards, looks at the board, says I'm good, he flips over 89 for midpair and a Gut shot. Now its on!

I'm on the Button with 6d4d, Kenny, UTG makes it $11 to go, picked up 5 callers, "I can't fold now, call" 6 see the flop

Flop: 66A

checks around to Solo who makes it $20 to go, I call, everyone folds.

Turn: duece.

Check, Check.

River: 4

Solo slids $50 into the pot, I think, and announce Raise it up. $75 more, I wanted to put Solo all in, but I didn't think he would call...$75 was just right, he makes the call. Ship It!

I double Kenny up when he moves seats and goes all in with AK and flops an ace, I say good luck, he knows what I have..."dirty motha fucka" he says...his Ace holds up, I ship him close to $100...24 no good :(

Here is where I learn my lesson...

Now there were 2 new guys from Keons games. Good folks, Decent players, Usually I expect some big fish comin from Keon's games that he goes too, but these guys were really not fish.

Now Im in the CO with TJo and make it $12 to go, I get one caller, new guy.

Flop: T55

I make it $17 to go, John thinks, "Raise" Now its $50, He's been waiting to do this all night to me, both of us are fairly deep stacked compared to the table. I think for a minute, shuffle chips around, Re-raise, I made it $100...He thinks and moves all in..I tried to get some info on it, hoping for just a call...but that min bet was screaming, "I think I have the best hand, but I'm really not sure" and a real bet should get me outta there, I think, think, and give him the benefit of the doubt, and fold my hand after thinking forever. His friend says he had the 5 quietly to him and I heard him and was in digust, "Wow, I did have the best hand" I told John, He says, I only did that cause I know you can lay down big hands, I saw you do it to Jefferson earlier in the night and heard you say that to him. and if you all know me, I lay down big hands to Jefferson allot! I kick myself cause I'm pretty sure now I have the best hand.

anyway, point is that these new guys payed close attention to all the action, and used all the information they were given, and honestly, they got ALLOT of information from all of us. At the Coral, we are all friends, we play to have fun and gamble, but they came to make money. And with all the friendlyness going on, I show alot of bluffs, I expose my cards after hands, I talk too much...I see this is a Major leak in my game and Steve pointed that out to me yesterday talking to him on AIM. I give out too much information and the players that play down here, friendly as it may be, are decent players, as much as we call each other fish, I have allot of respect for everyones game around here and I KNOW FOR A FACT, that they use all the information wisely. Hmmm...I wonder why Its so hard for me to beat allot the games here in MD...maybe cause I just put it on a chalkboard of exactly how I play, reading my blog also just shows how bad I play and everyone can use it to there advantage. At the poker table from now on, Information will not be given ANYMORE. I want to see how this might be able to improve my game, cause I always say, It's so much easier to beat AC, and in AC, I have the mindset to make money, not have fun and make friends. I hardly ever show my cards or talk about strategy and my reasoning behind my decisions. So going to the MD Circuit games, I'm gonna act like I'm in some far off underground poker room 200 miles away from AC. That doesn't mean I won't have fun, I'm just gonna be more serious about playing. Matter of fact, the more I think about it, The quiet ones at the games are usually soaking up all this info all of us give out. Its a different ball game now you all!

Anyway, I just want to talk about one more hand before I let you all go, cause Set over set is always fun!

I went over to steve's game last night to deal, Bi is usually in the box when I get there, it was 9 handed, I was bored and still itchin to play, I havae been playing all week so far, so why not one more day? Seth was on his way to the game as well as others, so I sat down with the intentions to get up when they arrive to avoid stacking off and just deal as planned.

2nd hand in...

I played for 1 hour, played 2 hands. Tom raise makes it $12 and gets 6 callers, I join in the ride in the Small Blind. I have Pocket 5s.

Pot: $72
Flop comes out: T54

I bet out $20, call, call, call Raise to $60, I re-raise $75 on top of that, folds around to her, she goes all in for a total of $265, I cover.

Pot: $590

Turn: T
River: 8

She turns over pocket 4s for 444TT
wow am I a lucky bitch! Ship It! Flopping Set over set is always a fun ride!

Pink tonight looks sick...should be some good stories tonight!

OOOPS

Wednesday game didn't go again...Looks really bad...I mean, during the last couple weeks Travis was Running the Coral game with Noelle, it was already getting slow, I mean, everyone's game goes through a slow spell, but this is just scary...

So back up plans was to go to Strikes in Bethesda for some bowling, drinking and a lil bit of gambling on bowling, Um...wonder why nobody called me yet to go...already blown cause my car wasn't ready Wednesday, now the date its gonna be pushed back to Friday, and even maybe Saturday, the mechanic doesn't work on Saturdays, but assured Pete if the car is not done by Friday, he will be in the garage Saturday to finish the job...I've learned not to get my hopes up, so I won't be as blown as I was yesterday...so we'll just have to see...but anyway, a night out would've been good, but I missed my calls cause I left my phone in the other room, and was sittin in my room gettin my head right...When I saw that Noelle called, it was already too late, they were already in Bethesda...Could've gone out there, but no car, so got a lil more upset at the whole situation.

Jeff IM's me and tells me that He and Saad won the 15K guaranteed on Absolute Poker Tuesday Night, Nice Hit Sir! Took down $4500 for 1st place! Fuck it, I'm in the house, ship me $100, changed my mind cause I know Its just burning money, so I only asked for $50...Its a good way to give me something to do cause playing with play money SUCKS.

So I entered the 7K Guaranteed and busted out in 201st place when I was holding TT to a AJ4 board with 2 clubs, we both check, Turn is a Tc to give me a set, I mush what I have left after he checks and he insta calls with Ace high flush, Can't pair on the river and I'm out...

While I was playing that tourney, I had already started a HORSE tourney till the 7K started, I actually did well in this one, Took it down! Its been a while since I've won a tournament, so to me a win is a win, It was a small one, only 50 players for a $5 buy in. But you know what, its a small win, but I'll be proud of the win since its been a very long time I've been in the top 3 of a tourney and I been runnin so bad online and live!
