ATLARGE Weekend in AC

We headed up to Atlantic City for the ATLARGE events at the Taj Mahal for the weekend. We had a good time and it was a ton of fun...

We had blocked off about 3 rooms for a good majority of folks from MDP and our local home games to room together...

Got to the Trop and sat at a $1-$2 NL Table and did pretty well first night in...walked out with a profit but lost track of time...I kept saying I was gonna go to bed at 3am so I can get some decent rest for the HOE tourney at the Taj in the morning...Heh...It was 9am when I went upstairs to take a shower and everyone was almost ready to leave for the trop...I'm dead tired and we all make our way to the Taj for breakfast before the tourney.

I didn't do well at the HOE tourney, more irritated being card dead and im just so tired, Keenan ends up getting sat at my table and I end up shipping him the rest of my stack in an Omaha H/L Round..."good game fellas" walk out the poker room, jump in a cab, head back to my room and slept till dinner that was being held in the ballroom at the Taj...Dinner was fun with everyone, the food was pretty good...Headed back to the trop to get some pink action going!

We arrive at the Trop and asked George to spread a Pink $5-$10 2 way game, Holdem' and Omaha H/L...The game was pretty good, I did do some disgusting though...Probably the only hand I remember from the session...

I can't remember what I had in my hand, but it was trash that flopped a gutshot straight flush draw....it was capped on the flop maybe 5 ways...(Not too sure of the gory details) but I show Katie my cards and whisper to her, Ima try and peel this card...the money card was the 9d to make my hand, and the next card to peel on the turn was the 9d...wow....capped again on the turn, only 1 bet on the river when it was down to 3..somebody hit the nut flush, but I had the stone cold nuts to scoop a huge pot...tipped the dealer good and smooth coasted the rest of the game...

After the game broke, I decide to sit at a $1-$2 NL Table...Paul ended up sitting with me, and it was some cocky college kids there, talking shit, just thinking they are the shit..I whisper to Paul, I'm going to crack one of these mother fuckers...after sitting around, I pick up pocket 10s..I make it 12 to go and get 5 callers...973 hits the flop and one of the college kids throws $30 bet out there, pick up 1 caller and folds around to me and I shove my stack in there, Its not much, about $130 left after the previous action...he insta calls and shows me a 97o for 2 pair...Turn sets me when a 10 rolls off, then a blank hits the river, 2 pair didn't stand up, OESD didn't get there, and the pot gets pushed to me...Now im sitting nice and one of the college kids is still talkin shit after playing bad jumping out of his seat, huffing and puffing and talking to himself...Now I look down to AA and make it $17 to go UTG...folds around to the goofy college kid who now shoves his stack in the middle for a little over $100, folds to the guy to my immediate right who just calls the bet...I say, "Fuck it, all in" and shove my stack in the middle...guy goes are you serious? and shoves his stack in for a little over $150 and I have him covered...My Aces stands up and scoops another monster pot...Game breaks not too long after that and then I decide im going to bed, walk past a table and say, eh, fuck it..I'll sit till its time for the NL Tourney...Yeah, great idea...one guy is on a major heater..

Heater guy makes it $11 to go preflop, look down to pocket Q...I re-raise him and make it $45 to go...he calls. T73 board comes out and I bet $75 and he calls, now im scared and confused...turn brings a non pairing, non flushy or staright card out, so I make a $150 bet on th turn and get re-raised all in...I fold and he shows me a set of 7s...

I decided it was time to go upstairs after hitting the 2nd nut flush to dudes ace high flush when I mushed all in and get insta called. I ship everything and go to bed stuck.

Saturday Morning, I get ready to go to the Taj for the NL Holdem tournament for ATLARGE. Pretty sleepy too, go a little early with Paul so we both can register and grab breakfast. Breakfast just gave me the itis and made things worse. I'll just either go out early, and go to bed, or try to win this thing...

Tournament had a decent structure, 132 players entered the tournament for a 5K payday for 1st place. Made it to the first break with 2100 in chips, we all started with 3K in chips with 30 minute blinds...Blinds are getting up there now, and I'm pretty much all in with any raise. Paul talked me into playing good cause im not out of the race...so I did...players were dropping like flies and next thing you know, I was above chip average winning alot of races when pushing with nice pairs getting called with the bullshit.

I ended up final tabling the tournament. First hand after break when we broke into the final table, I get dealt AKh in the big blind. Guy under the gun moves all in and folds around to me, I call. we both flip our cards and he had AJo. I'm feeling good about this right now...

WHEW...sitting in the final table short stacked with 24k with blinds at 4K-8K so its just mush time, KK, all in...guy is in the tank, folds, very next hand, 44, I mush again, he finally decides to look me up with AQo and tags his ace on the turn. I'm out of the tourney in 8th place.

Sunday was just in ship it mode. Sat at $2-$5 NL and lost a decent pot for $1200...Raised AJs to get a million callers...Flop was K83(2 spades) first to act bets 10, I raise to 60, then get re-raised to 120, call, call...Turn is a 10, check, check, all in, call, I push all in cause it would leave me with 75 bucks so might as well stick it in. flopped set of 8s takes down the pot..play a little pink to kill time before we leave then we head back home.

I had a great time playing, and can't wait for the next ATLARGE event next year...Only stuck $100 bucks the whole weekend...what a fuckin roller coaster!

Closing February

Well, I'm glad February is over and done with. The past 2 months have been brutal as far as playing...I have been running bad the past 2 months...I'm just fortunate to have 2 side gigs to keep my head afloat, whew.

I'm in the red as far as playing so far this year, but Looking for my Birthday Month to be a little more profitable, hopefully putting my YTD Standings back in the black...

I closed the month off playing at the Coral, which I really didn't want too only cause I'm headed for AC tomorrow. Of course I can't stay away and take a credit from Travis to play...I'll settle up after the trip or sometime after Monday when we get back...Hopefully I can win some money this weekend. But anyway, ended up stuck as usual there...The Coral is where I have lost the most money this year so far...Hmmmm...no I take that back...my own Pink game fucks me badly...But the Coral is a close contender.

Looking forward to the AC trip, I'm hoping I can start the month off the right way!

I feel like a little kid

You know when you were a kid, you couldn't sleep the night before Christmas, or if you were going to Kings Dominion? How about if it was your birthday the next day?

Thats how I feel about tomorrow!!!!

ATLARGE starts March 1, 2007 and Me, Keenan, Travis and the Girl will be leaving MD to head up to Atlantic City!! We should be there till Sunday afternoon...

Guess I'll try to make the Taj for the Midnite Tournament Thursday night then head back to the Trop to get some rest for the morning..

Relaxing Week...

Its Monday today, No Games till Wednesday, then off to Atlantic City for the ATLARGE tournaments...

Should have some stories when I get back....

Played an Omaha H/L Tourney this morning, Final Tabled it...even was 2nd in chips at one point, then BAM...

I left the seat red and wet....

What the fuck....Pink Pink Pink is sooo brutal to me..

This past Fridays game was sick from start...Not even an hour into the game, I had 2 racks of pinks left to be bought...the rest were on the table, thanks to me at start...crazy Pineapple is brutal...AA got cracked to a runner runner wheel....KK smashed, QQ smashed, AK smashed...did I mention those were the first couple hands in too? REBUY...

Finally table fills up, thank god I can get out of this crazy game....

I haven't won at Pink this year....so sick....

Some Short Shit

Down to my last $2.30 on Absolute Poker, so only thing I could play was a $2 tournament...

400 players...hit for 4th place, fucked up trippling up folding TT to 2 all ins...Maybe I'm supposed to call and race at this point short stacked? I play real good :(

Anyway, a cool $50..some short shit...but the glory of final tabling isn't bad :)

You Wanna Slow Roll Me Huh?

Its been a while since Big Chris had a game at his house, he is either working late, working early, or both...His work hours can get brutal..but last night he was able to have a game and I went over there to play...

I called Kenny to go, he always tells me he doesn't want me to call him to go to the other local $1-$2 NL Games cause he seems to play bad and ship it ALL THE TIME...But I know he loves to go over to Big Chris house...and when I called him, he nearly came in his pants tellin me to pick him up...Just remember how excited he was to go over to Chris house last night!

Anyway, Game was as normal, ran my stack up a little bit early, and not playing like a donkey, just playing good till Kenny started talkin alot of shit to everyone...I felt I was gonna be the hero and burst his bubble...

One hand where he became chip leader, I handed him over my stack on a silver platter...He raises to $11 and gets a couple callers...I act like I'm going to re-raise him and he begins to talk his talk...so I smooth call with AhTd..its 3 people going into the flop with me to act last...10 high flop, checked around to me and I reach for chips...he says, if you bet, im going to push, If you check im going to push...so I bet out $25 bucks and he instantly mushes his stack in there, folds around to me, and he quickly turns over KK like he scared...I call just so I can see you throw up when I tag my Ace or Ten...His Kings end up holding up...not more than 15 minutes later, his $200+ stack is back down to $35 bucks, with me getting my money back plus some and I begin to laugh and talk shit to him and he sat there quietly...He ends up Rebuying...

For some reason, when Rosslyn would bet, I have hands to raise her...I have to give it to her, she changed her game and I was impressed at her play last night....except for this hand...I act after her, and we are somewhere in mid position...she raises to $11 and I thought about raising her, but just smooth called her raise with AKo...4 people go into this flop when it comes out Kh6d3s, checks to Rossly and she leads out $20, I raise it to $50, folds back to her and she instant mushes...I go into the tank and decide to make the call...I have her pocket 10s way crushed till she turns a 10 then says, I knew it was coming, thats why I mushed the flop....yeah right...nice hand...Now the rest of the night im playing Heinze Poker...I get alot of it back from her but she somehow learned to stay away from my pots cause she couldn't wiin another hand from me after I show her the nuts the rest of the nght...

Meanwhile Kenny is talkin shit, so I mention to him I would slow roll him the rest of the night...I only said that to him cause he is talkin big shit to me, and the rest of the table...So we get into this one pot and I ended up having King High...everyone mucks they cards and Kenny shows a King as well, I say I have a Jack with it, and he sits there waiting...waiting for me to scoop the pot...I say Jack high is good I guess and I reach for the pot, and he flips over his other King for Pocket Kings....I try to ignore the slow roll but he stares at me smiling, till I say somethin and the whole table laughs...Ok....He started somethin now...He sat there and stared till I acknowledged the slow roll and I laughed..but its on now...

Ha, Here is my perfect opportunity to get his dumb ass back...Matta fact, last hand of the night...which puts me over the top for a small but decent profit for the game....

Kenny is first to act and raises to $10...folds around to me and I re-raise to $20 with AKh..he calls...Flop comes out 9K2..he checks, I bet out $25, he just calls, Turn brings a 4s and he checks, I push all in...he starts talkin shit again..."what, you did what? you fucked up...shows me a K...I just sit there, he asks me to show him 1 card...I tell him I can't in this situation, stop wasting time and fold...He shows me his Q kicker...now he is out of his seat, talkin shit, tryiin to get me to show a card, I refuse and he says, sorry but I gotta call...I immediately say Good call and act like im bout to muck my cards...then a K falls on the river..he is boosted, so when he is about to rake the pot in, I say I win, and show my king with an Ace...he says how do you win...I point to the ace and he is SICK...3 handed after that hand, so we call it a night....Get Back at its finest!!! He was like, damn I thought I won that pot like shit, I was cised then you did that bullshit on me, I seen him earlier today and still talkin about it LOL He told me its war from now on out!

Pink Game is Brutal

No matter what I do, How I play, I ship it...

My hands just can't hold up when I flop the nuts, or monsters not gettin there...Maybe its cause I host...I honestly feel that I play decent, I can play bad, but I try not too play THAT bad...I don't open up my hand selection that much, only playing hands to scoop...betting when I need to, raising when I need to, trying not to miss any bets when it counts at least...but I just can't seem to get the garbage out there or even someone drawing to a bigger hand, which is understandable...

Point is...I can't win at my own game, But the game is soooo much fun...eh...maybe next Friday I can make up for all the losses I have takin at my own game....

Damn the pinkness is brutal to me, but a gold mine to others that seem to cash 3 plus racks every week!

Who knew the straddle was a piece of gold?

When I said I was gonna deal the Fish Tank last night to see some crazy action, I wasn't lying...Indeed it was a CLASSIC evening!

Pops made a nice piece of change lastnight! Pops told me a story from last Tuesdays Game, but I promised I won't put it out there...ask Pops and maybe he will tell you the story, but you won't get it out from me, but it is classic!

The night started out with crazy action...seen alot of huge pots at start of the game...But it really didn't get too crazy till the wee hours of the morning...after 2 AM...

Candice got some dealing time, which was good for me so I can get a break, but soon as she sits down, couple hands later...she lets Erwin hit the Quad Jacks Bonus...and from what I heard from Candice's Friend was it was some crazy action...from here on out, we'll call Candice Friend that I have no clue what his name as CBF...Anyway, the quad jacks paid out $640 bucks to Erwin which he took in cash. He already had a decent stack in front of him.

Dimitri comes in the game after 2am and gets in the game for a million bucks...he is runnin REAL BAD...and decides he is going to blame Erwin for calling him out...they get into alot of verbal arguments and tells Erwin if he ever calls him after 2am to play poker, never to do that, in a threatining manner...He even went as far as if you ever want to play so early in the morning, come over his house and play heads up for any amount of money...which I found very humerous...and so did the rest of the table...Dimitri ships it all night, yelling at Erwin, blaming him for dragging him out the house, then threatens that he Erwin calls him again he would shoot him which is even funnier!

Now the straddle is golden....why? This is where CBF comes in...

Danny, a new regular at the Fish Tank missed his straddle...CBF is sitting behind everyone and there is an open seat in the 7 seat, so everyone invites him to sit down and watch the game from there instead of looking behind the 4 and 5 seats shoulders...he comes over and sits down...and Danny offers to give him the rock to play...the whole table had to agree, but Eddie said he didn't like it...but he didn't want to be the odd man out and was like fuck it...so I dealt him a hand and a couple people called maybe 4 spots called the straddle...flop comes out, couple people bet out, and Erwin sticks a big raise in there to "Protect" CBF...yeah good job, he lost the pot and CBF takes the pot down...and he played tight...getting his stack in with the best of it and as I sat there and watched that $6 free straddle from Danny, I would look at Danny and laugh my ass off cause his stack went from $6 bucks to over $250 in no time...Thats when everyone wanted to be dicks and be like, you should cash out now...I even heard I don't want him taking my stack when he only had $6 bucks...BUT YOU ALL LET HIM PLAY WITH IT, DON'T COMPLAIN NOW, AND YOU CAN'T FORCE HIM TO CASH OUT...In My Opinion, that would be the last thing I want is for him to cash out after running good, running his $6 bucks to way over $200...I guarantee that will never happen, and I knew it was gonna happen in the back of my head...

You know what sucks...most of the night, I knew what everyone was holding, and knew who was gonna win and can push the board up to show what was gonna win before the winner can table his cards...why can't I get reads like this when I play poker? Some crazy shit, That just shows me, that I don't pay as close attention when I play...which I need to start doing, I think I have just discovered 1 of a million leaks in my game...so I'm going to try and fine tune that either tonight at the pink game, or if I don't get a chance to play tonight, at Pops game Saturday Afternoon...I'm pretty sure there should be some nice stories tonight!

Snow + Ice +Poker = Alot of poker

Valentines day was Wednesday and the Girl didn't want them spending V-day playing poker, so they moved it to Tuesday Night...Just happens it was a major storm rollin through the DC area of nothing but mixed snow and ice...

Now I wasn't planning on coming out cause of the weather...I was broke too...Had $23 Bucks to my name after paying off my bills for the month...BUT...I was on the lock list and Trav said he would board me a buy in or two....Off to the Coral I go....

I think it was 7 maybe 8 player max cause of the weather...supposed to be a full table, but its understandable...

Wow I ran good...AA 9 times, KK 4 times, QQ 5 times...you get the picture?

Peaked my stack to a good $650 before I ran my QQs into some BS and got sucked out on, then it went down hill...I lost a good $200 and felt stuck, even though I was still up $200...I'm pretty sure alot of yall know the feeling...so I decided I aint leaving...game got to 4 players and we still played, ended up playing $5-$10 Limit four a couple of hours then back to NL again....lol Wholetime, I'm wondering where my last $200 was disappearing too...Fuck...

Game ended up breaking at 8:30 in the morning...left with a $19 profit...Sooo Stupid...Now I gotta fight the ice on the way home and the roads were TRECHEROUS...not to mention I left my phone there and didn't realise it till I got home...took a nap and went back out before it got dark and everything on the road re-froze up again....

Dealing Steve's game tonight, hopefully I'll be able to see some crazy shit tonight!

Online is Stupid

No live games lately...Not till Tuesday Night at the Coral at least...

So on MD-Poker.com, Pdoggie ended up getting a bunch of us together to play a $10 HORSE Sit N Go...Yeah I suck...Top 2 gets paid out...not a bad pay out for $10 bucks....But I didn't cash in none of them...

So I decided to play a $2 MTT on Absolute Poker...So stupid, to play so long to make shit money, granted I know its only $2 to play, but god damn...its ridiculous...but I am Happy I made it as far as I did, but I just couldn't close the deal when my AQ ran into AA...oh well, floped 3 hearts with my Ace being a heart, but couldn't pull the 4th heart out...oh well....Ned to build up a roll to play some real tournies on here...maybe I can do it like I did on Poker.com...Sitting with a little over a meatball starting with a hot $20 they sent me to play on the site with....

oh well...27 out of 402 players is pretty good I guess...if I can make it that far, I should be able to seal the deal :(

PINK

Pink Friday couldn't have come any sooner....Lots of the regs went up to Atlantic City for the weekend, so it was a possibility that the game was a no go....WRONG....Full game till the early morning!

Lots of rebuys, means lots of pretty pink chips on the table being flung around...I didn't get a chance to play this week, (which I believ is a good thing from how bad I have been running)

Anyway, game went on as usual and JackJr. was giving a run for everyone's money....He wasn't playing real well, but getting lucky on alot of draws....I saw him scoop a pot with 3 aces in his hand im omaha h/l...quad Kings up in 7-card stud...then delivered a crucial scoop in stud with some ridiculous hand that scooped a pot well over $500 bucks, then tried to cash out not even 15 minutes after that pot...granted it was close to 3am, but everyone felt it was a hit and run type move and I begged him to stay at least anouther 15 minutes so he stayed at least 30 minutes after taking that huge pot down...he agreed, but stayd longer than the 30 minutes and bled his 4 stacks down to cashing out $30 bucks...

I dealt most of the game cause Kenny wanted to take a break and ended up jumping in the game so I was in the box the rest of the morning till game broke, Kenny and Eddie played heads up $5-$10 Holdem till he broke kenny, played 2 short handed sit and gos, then called it a night.

No cards...finally....KK...I'm somewhere in Mid Position and was faced with Keenan's $8 raise...Upstairs....I make it $23 to go...$15 raise...Folds around to him and he makes it $45 to go, I insta call board comes out like 9 high...all red...he proceeds to shove his stack in the middle...I do have a feeling he has aces so I ask him..politely...

He flips over his Aces...
"why did you lie to me man?"

Last hand that finally made me tired of gettin my ass whooped...I'm UTG and look down to AA...Raise it to $15...Pietro is the only caller, 7 high board, I decide I'm going to check raise him and get some money in the pot, I check, he bets out $15 or $20, I raise it all in, he insta calls and says "set" god damn....2 outs can't get there...he shows me dueces....I can't take nomore ass whoopings and call it a night...

I dont think I played bad, and going over many of the hands last night, I don't think I would've played any hands any differently...Thats just how it goes sometimes....Gotta roll with the Losses from time to time...STUPID GAME!!!

The Dreaded weekend...

HORSE tournament at Pops House! Looking forward to this tourney since he posted he was gonna run it...did I get to play? Hell No...After my Pink Game broke, I didn't even have the power to clean up the mess we made from the night before, Didn't even make it home, jumped on the couch and went to sleep...got enough nerve to drive home, dizzy as can be, to sleep the rest of the night away till Sunday afternoon.....

Now Sunday afternoon, I was locked for Digg's Super Bowl Bash...Poker, Strippers....Party Party Party....and I wasn't a part of it....I did force myself to get out of bed close to game time to head over to my cousin's house at the very least where I can feel comfortable being sick around family...Played some $1-$1 NL also....made a quick Ball after getting into the game for $200 when Kenny stacked me with A9o to my Kings when he tripped his 9s on the river....Got him back though....Game broke fairly early, wanted to go home early anyway....now im here typing, still under the weather...I have 3 days to get my health back in order to play the Coral.

P*I*N*K*I*T*U*P

Scooter said he didn't want to play this week, and jumped on me because he is always shipping it, but he has it the other way around, when bad play pays him off, he is a happy scooter, but when he plays bad and loses, he is ready to quit...

He ended up comin out, after waiting a million hours...I hope he learned his lesson taking off the auto lock!!!

anyway, Lawd I was SICK as a dog...I mean nasty sick, it was nasty....I felt bad just coughing all night long and tried to stay as far away from the table as possible...heh, till it was my turn to play!

Game went really well, despite the fact I was super sick...and its Super Bowl weekend too....Lots of parties/poker coming up that I was looking forward to attending....

Anyway, chalk up another loss for me at the pink game...not that big of a loss this time around, when I was actually ramming and jamming the pot when I flopped a set of Kings on a king high, non straight board...Scooter is in it to win it with his flopped set of I can't even remember....the only thing I can be afraid of is the the flush draw....after capping the shit out of each street, the flush draw gets thereon the river....Busted....This game is AWESOME!

The Fish Tank

Wow what a game!!! After a quick recovery and throwing up twice in the morning, I dealt Steve's game on Thursday...

It was a bigger turn out than normal...2 full tables running till 5AM which brought up a few concerns, after a recent robbery, our sense of security has heightened again...it was a wake up call that our games in fact are not as safe as we think...not saying all games get robbed, but since games were not getting robbed as much as last year, its time that home game operators need to tighten up security and just be more careful as far as who we let into our home games and how we operate it to avoid robberies...

Game was going strong, but I usually have to leave around 6-6:30 to beat traffic back to my part of town to take my daughter to school....But Bi and I muscled 12+ Hours between us and 2 tables quite well...Looking forward to another night like this one!

I meant to blog about the robbery a while ago, but it slipped my mind...I do know these folks and have attended this game many of times, I'm just lucky that I wasn't there this time around as I started getting a little worried that it would get robbed...I even voiced my concerns a couple months ago about the security....Here is the article from the Washington Post

Late one night last weekend in a quiet College Park neighborhood, police answered a call about an armed robbery. Once there they found what looked like the center of a professional gambling ring. They also found 12 men, missing their cash, their cellphones -- and their pants.

"It's comical," said Deborah Turner, a next-door neighbor, giggling. "Like something you'd see in an Eddie Murphy movie."

Some of the men had told neighbors they were graduate students at the nearby University of Maryland, gathering for a study group. Now police are looking for them; the house has been abandoned, and the victims, a spokesman said, could be charged with illegal gambling.

In the days before the Super Bowl, they're not the only ones placing bets. Tim Otteman, who studies sports gambling at Central Michigan University, said he started counting the proposition bets off that one game (who'll win the coin toss, who'll fumble first) and tired of it at about 170. Tens of billions of dollars are spent on illegal sports gambling in the United States every year, he said, and college students are several times more likely than the average person to jump in.

Linda Clement, vice president for student affairs at U-Md., said she has known parents who've called for help for a son -- men get hooked far more often than women -- or individual students who've asked for counseling for a gambling addiction. But it's rare, she said.

U-Md. freshman Max Ostheller wasn't surprised when he read about the suspected gambling ring in yesterday's Diamondback, the student paper. The pants, though, were a surprise. But the idea that a group was placing bets in some basement didn't raise an eyebrow.

"Everyone gambles," he said, not meaning people getting mired in debt but rather a little money changing hands. He laughed; this case, he said, was just a little different.

It was the pants.

Neighbors thought something was weird.

A group of guys moved in a few weeks ago with just a small van, hauling in a table and some chairs but no other furniture, said Turner, who lives next door. She met one of them, who said he would be gathering with other students to study. She thought he was cute. Not a lot of furniture, a little different, but a nice guy.

Almost immediately, the quiet dead end of Bridgewater Street was buzzing with traffic. Lots of cars came to the little brick ranch house, and lots of young men, who seemed to be staying there round-the-clock. Sometimes they'd be parked up and down the block, on both sides of the street, said her father, Shelton Turner. Nice new cars that didn't seem like typical student rides -- a BMW, a Lexus, a Nissan something or other.

"Beautiful cars," 20 or 25 at a time, said Jovan Stevenson, who lives across the street. And always men. "I never saw a girl there." That's no study group, he said.

They didn't use the front door, neighbors said, and it seemed to get busier at night and on weekends. There was no furniture upstairs -- just one old office chair in the middle of the hardwood floor of the living room. And curtains were always drawn in the basement, where the lights were on.

Then the trash started to pile up -- a lot. Another neighbor complained about all the comings and goings late at night. It wasn't the typical student house, Shelton Turner said -- usually those have parties with lots of kids standing outside drinking beer.

"This has been a family neighborhood for years," said his wife, Matilda Turner. Then some owners began renting houses to students.

Shortly before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Prince George's County police were called to the house. They found three professional gaming tables, flat-screen TVs, a bar and a cash room. Two men with handguns had made off with the proceeds, apparently. The men in the house had gotten fleeced.

There was no official explanation for the missing pants. Neighbors and students were more than ready to speculate; some said it had to be to keep the victims from chasing after the bad guys.

When police returned the next day to follow up, everyone was gone and the place had been emptied. Neighbors are hoping that someone will take away the trash bags -- more than 16 of them, bulging with empty cases of beer, fried chicken boxes and cans of Red Bull.

Donkey Coral on Wednesday

Went over to the Coral's new spot for the first $1-$2 NL game...Game was as is, nice action, good game, but I got into it with JackJr. this time....We got to exchanging alot of words...ALOT OF WORDS....Everyone said I was a dick...Yup, sure Was....for some reason, JackJr. sucked out on a pot on me, and he of course I flipped out, and said, wow, you only tipped Travis $1 for that hand....nice hand sir...then he said somethin bout eat shit, and that did it, I went off...I even slowrolled his ass....got dealt pocket Aces, told him I had ace high, he showed his pair of queens on a King High Board...and said, Sike, I got Aces...ship it...he was furious....Later on the next day I appologized for the foolishness and all is well.....Anyway By that time, it was time for me to go to the club...

Met Kenny up the Tradewinds to see Backyard Band and they ROCKED WAY TOO HARD...2nd week in a row in over 5 years since I been going to see them play...I been seeing BYB since 1993...and it was good to party with some of the oldschool crews in the club!!! Its espcially cisin' to hear them put us on...just like the old days!!

After leaving the club, called Keon to see if they were still playing, mind you I'm drunk out of my mind...we head back over to Travis place to play more poker!

Fun Poker

Merk has a sunday .50-$1 NL game where there is no rake, just a night of fun poker and drinking, Merk had a little too much to drink and I found it to be a bit entertaining...I wont get into details about what was going on, you just had to be there....

I shipped $175 though, but had a good time...

I'll most likely play again, cause its fun and Big Chris aint having a sunday game nomore seems like, so till that game goes again, guess I'll be here on Sundays to chillax a little with some fun, expensive poker!!!

went over to Trav and Nelly's new spot, yeah, they got a really nice spot now that they moved out the apartment...I can't wait to see how they decorate the "poker room"

Anyway, game today was Pot Limit Holdem and Omaha...I like the game, but its stupid...I don't understand why "Pot" has to be the bet every time....everyone that plays the 1-2 game doesn't go all in every hand.....so why bet pot? I don't know, I'm a fish at PL, cause I never play it, then I don't really play Omaha High only....I like H/L...I'll have to go read the "book" on Omaha then I'll try my luck again

long story short...I sat with 2 balls, shipped it and went home, wasn't really feeling too good in the first place...forgot my inhaler, allergies were acting up, so I was ready to go home anyway, cheyenne was with me as well, so I'm not fully concentrating in the game regardless...

Oh yeah, I got some slowrolling to do to scooter, I know its bad etiquette, but He is gonna get it...He flopped 10s full...which is cool, I shipped it in Omaha, which is fine...I didn't talk any shit, graciously got up and said i'll see everyone later...Scooter hits me with the "Sorry E" and I say for what dawg? then he goes and says, no I'm not sorry with his dumb little giggle....which I found to be uncalled for specially I shipped him my remaining stack, just take the chips, why pour salt in the wound? oooh I can't wait to slow roll his ass now and laugh at him!!!!

Pink Game

Another insta break this friday, but we played short handed for a little while...ran my stack to 3 racks, shipped one stack short handed when we were playin holdem, decided to play Holdem, Omaha and crazy pineapple and took out stud...wanted to play pitch, but decided to play holdem instead....

didn't do to bad....game was still fun!!!

Hopefully my foks will still let us run fridays even when family gets into town, whenever that may be.............

Playing Bad and Running Bad is a deadly combination only asking for trouble and definately a ship it situation...

Last night, went over to the Coral to play some $1-$2 NL...For some reason, I got so bored that I started playing bad...I knew I was playing bad, but I just couldn't help it...Not only on top of that, I'm running real bad, I can't draw for shit, Card dead the whole night, and when I did get a decent playable hand, it turned out to be 2nd best if that...

I stayed shipping it, and what was my final decision to call it a night...When I shove my whole stack in when the pot is raised to $15 preflop and gets 5 callers, I'm in the CO and decide to ship it with AQo...folds around to PDoggie who just calls $90 more...Jefferson shows me AQ as well...shit im done, 28664 was the board, and PDoggie called me with 23....Nice call...Now I'm pretty sure im running bad...got 1 more ball to ship it next hand when I get KTo and Keenan raised it to $8, I call, as well as a couple others, K68 (2 clubs) I bet out 20, he raises me, I insta shove and get beat by AK...

Yeah, I go home EARLY...Still early, I'm going to Tradewinds and party with Backyard Band tonight...Pooky from the Wire was in there partyin...seen alot of oldschool faces and I think this just brought back how it feels to go out and party...it was nice, got a lil drunk, Back was rocking, so many women...I'll be there next Wednesday again...So win or loss at the Coral, I'm leaving at Midnight from now on and heading over to the winds to party with BYB

Whew, Thats how to break even

went over to Natalias place to deal, and this spot is God awful when it comes to tips..you make half what you should be making in an hour, I don't know if its cause its a slow game to deal or if the players just suck at tipping, yeah, Its the players that suck at Tipping...

anyway, to make any type of money there, I usually have to jump in the game towards the end and win some, I usually get in with my tips and maybe add a little bit to sit with $200...Its a $5-$10 3-4-5 card H/L8 game...when the game got short Monday night, we took out the 3 card game and rotated between 5 card h/l and pitch and bitch...

You know whats awesome? When you get in the game and the game breaks not too long afterwards....its 1am and the game is bout to break, and I'm in the freakin game stuck $140....Its ok...some of them want to play Tonk...deal it up!!!

we played $5-$10 Tonk till 4:30 am and it broke me dead even for the night, well....$5 bucks stuck of my own money if I didn't go there and deal at all, so basically lost all my whopping $80 bucks in tips and $5 bucks from my own pocket...which made me feel a little better about the night instead of being stuck more than that....

Having 2nd thoughts about dealing that game now...just go cause I found it a good way to network about grabbing new players for the pink game and some of the $1-$2 NL games I support, but they still haven't been out yet, cept for Natalia and Kendall...The other players keep saying they will come but still haven't been yet.....

Heading over to the donkey coral tonight to play some $1-$2 NL tonight!!!

Tourney at the SHOP

Since its been a while since I played a tournament...decided I would play Pops tourney...$90+$10 + $20 Headhunter tourney...

Played tight but it wasnt good enough to take it down...Only won 2 pots the whole time, guess I played too tight, one was pops was peakin over my shoulders and I showed him 24o and called a raised preflop with it...3 players, Flop comes out Q95r vince was first to act and checked...christian checked, and I bet out t$1500 into a t$1800 pot...vince thinks for a while and Im pretty sure im beat if he calls duh lol, but he decides to make a crying fold, christian on the other hand, decides to almost call...tells me to give him a reason to fold, talkin in chinese voice, I tell him bet is too big, he has to fold...He ends up folding his OESD and I take down the pot...It wasn't so spectacular though...

Next hand that I won was pocket 5s, blinds are 400-800 and I push with $3500 and get called by vince and all in dave...All in dave has AJd, Vince has 77...7 hits the flop...I turn a set of 5s and Keenan, stands up, snaps his fingers, and calls for a 5 for me...BOOM river layed down a beutiful 5. I end up busting out in 9th place, out of 27 players, paying out 4 places with $1100 to 1st place.

Sat in the $1-$2 Game for a short period of time before I have to go, plus im extra super tired from lack of sleep...hit for $120 profit after getting in the game for $200 and cashing out to break dead even for the day...soon as I got home around 7:30 PM after picking up Cheyenne, was gonna head back to Pops place to finish playing the cash game, but was just too tired, fell asleep at my computer desk watching Cheyenne play the Wii....

Pink Fridays

One of the days of the week I can't wait for...Fridays for the Pink Game...I love hosting as much as I love losing my money here!!

Not much to say, cep't the game was a great one...I got stuck in the game for over 2 racks ($650) but made most of it back when it got short, I can't play for shit when its a full ring game, but short handed I actually have a shot!

Game ended around 7am and I have to clean up and get ready to go to Pops Tournament at 2PM...Another weekend of no sleep....gotta love Poker!!!

Fish Tank, First Impressions...

Nothing big to tell about tonight, cept a hand I was dealing...

Brand new guy comes over to play, he plays at a $15-$30 stud game not too far from the fish tank...

I'm not sure how the betting was done, Just know that he just sat for maybe 25 minutes, the new guy that is...and had a pretty decent stack cause he was at the must move table and that table broke and everyone from the MM table sat at the main table...Travis, Jeff and Jake are the ones mixed up in the shenanigans...Travis was the aggressor and when it got to Jeff, Jeff shoved his stack in there....Jake just calls, and Travis then goes all in on top of that, Jake calls...

Shocking...I haven't played since I left Steve's game...It was nice to not play or deal, a little break you can say...

Soon as Wednesday rolled around, I was ready to play some poque!!!

Played fairly tight this time around...wasn't tryin to get snapped off so quickly...

I was card dead most of the night, and when I got my first pair of Kings, They got snapped off to my AT...Keon had ATh and the board came out 10 high with 2 hearts on the board...I Raised it to $17 preflop with Keon calling me...He bet out some stupid bet and I raised him and he flips over his Ten and calls my raise...I tell him so what...you are a fish for doing that....turn brings out a T...wow...I check he bets of course I fold...

Got KK again, and raised them $15 to go preflop getting called in 4 spots...I'm on the button...Anne, Keon, Jefferson all call me in that order...Flop comes out KJ2(2 diamonds), Anne checks, Keon leads out with $51 bucks, Jefferson Hollywoods his smooth call and I take it upstairs and shove $100 on top of the $51 bucks...Anne shoves her whole stack in the middle which is about $120 more...Keon folds and Jefferson thinks for a while and folds...Meanwhile, I'm crying that my set of Ks won't hold to the flush draw...if Anne was on it...The 3rd diamond comes out on the river and I think im done...I flip my set of Ks over, Anne says she knew it and slammed her set of Js on the table...Jefferson tells us he folded a set of dueces, and Travis confirmed he did...set over set over set...this game is sick...

Short buy Justin comes in the game and always gets in for Minimum buy in...$60 bucks, he ran it to $600 and it made us sick, We eventually picked him off to make him rebuy as well as his boy which is always good...walked out with a decent profit after tilting a little bit from Keon when he busted up my set of 3s with a flush draw on the flop, and just calling, then pushing when he got there, of course I call knowing he hit the flush, it wasn't alot to call and I just prayed the board paired...stupid game..

Other than that, I walked away with a small profit of a little over $200...

Back to the Fish Tank

Scheduled to Deal at the tank this saturday, was gonna go to Atlantic City, but just paid my mortgage, didn't have the money I want to have to head up and play, Dealt Steve's tournament then his $2-$5 NL game...actually He had a $4-$8 Omaha and Stud H/L Game going, so I dealt that and played at the same time cause the table was short, Got a little irritated cause its hard to deal and play at the same time, the $2-$5 game was juicy and decided to get my money back in tips...Only dropped around $120 for that game...

Went down to deal it, the OE game broke and Pops hung around, I'm dead tired from lack of sleep and let Pops break me for a little while, layed down on the couch and i was knocked out..woke up, dealt another 30 minutes and was gonna go home...But na...I wanna play cause im just a degenerate...

This is my first time playng $2-$5 NL and did pretty well for myself!

Steve let me off the hook after talkin some shit if he had bet out on the turn i was gonna push all in, he didn't want me too and said, give me a ball out my stack and you can have the rest, He flopped a boat and let me hit my flush to hang myself..Ooops...ran may stack up a little, then back down to as low as $74 bucks then got on a monster run and cashed out a cool $700...Sweet, Pops wife called and he had to go, brought the game to 5 handed, so I said I was cashing out as well...Going home to get some sleep!!

Sunday will be a day of rest!!!!

I love the Pink Game!!

Pink game on Fridays is AWESOME!!! Anyone that plays, can tell you how much fun this game is, and it aint a dry game, its extra juicy for a $5-$10 game...Vince made a good $1400 bucks, Rocco made a little over 3 racks as well...Me...I broke dead even at the end of the night, but can I stop the game? Hell no, Matt, Eddie, Kenny and I decided to play 4 handed, and kept the game at $5-$10 Limit Holdem the rest of the morning, they broke the shit outta me, Eddie calling any cards and getting there, busting me, I was irritated and blown, and blew up at Eddie at his shit talking afterwards...after them being stuck over $1500 between the 3 of them, I put them on the board to help them break even, just didn't expect it off me, It wasn't alot, cause I was only in the game for $250, but still, Doesn't feel good to bust specially trying to avoid sticking a red entry in my spreadsheet for January...Pops game comin up next....again...another sleepless day comin up...

The good ole' Fish Tank

Went over to Steve's house to deal, Put some brutal beats on Blevins, it was insane, I wish I can remember hand histories, but these beats were best not to be remembered. I felt bad for him that he had to go through that...it was disgusting...Other than that, another night of dealing for me to help even out any losses I took during the beginning of the month to keep me in the black...Another early morning, This time, I didn't get any sleep after taking Cheyenne to School, Picked up a Nintendo Wii and set it up and played it all morning instead of being smart and going to sleep....another sleepless weekend is brewing....

Wednesday Night and I missd it last week, so I have to go this week...argh...so much for taking a break...

Ended up pretty much going up and down, got sucked out on scooter, Can't remember how, but he did and crippled me, I end up getting back to even for the night, but the game was bout to end, so we ended up playing a little H.O.E $2-$4 Rotation for a little while...I got stuck about $120 for the night, not bad, maybe less, I have to take a look, but I wasn't sweating it, had a good time which is what mattered...Of course, Left early in the morning, Early enough I didn't have to go to sleep when I got home cause I would have to get cheyenne in a couple minutes, so Just stayed up till it was time to go, then scooped her up for school...

So I lied!

What a week, Whew...Today is Sunday, and I can say I got some decent sleep today, and it felt sooo good to be in my bed today!!! Why No Sleep???

Well, after lying to myself, I said I wouldn't go to Goodfellas Game this past Tuesday...Travis called me up asking if I was gonna go, I said I wasn't planning on it, but if he wanted to go, I would....Off we go to Goodfellas game Tuesday Night...

Game didn't go too-too late, but late enough to make it very tiring to pick Cheyenne up in the morning to take her to school...I specifically read somewhere that I was supposed to be running bad this month...so I said I was gonna play "Tight Is Right." That can get pretty boring, but built a nice chip stack up maxing out at $750 in a $1-$2 NL Game...

Close to the end of the night, I got dealt QQ Vs. the kid that ran his began his heated run after getting down to $24 bucks...It was raised to $10 and I bumped it up to $35 getting 2 callers behind me...Flop came out 779...checked to me and I bet out $50 to get called then raised $100 on top, I think, call the meatball, other guy folds, and the turn drops a beutiful Red Ace...Nice...Kid shoves $100 and I end up folding and he shows me a monster 52o...Nice Play, I played it so beutifully, he cashes out a couple orbits later and so do we...I end up a nice profit still of about $600 when we leave out there...

$5-$10 "3-4-5" with the Older Crowd

I know I said I wasn't going to be playing this month, but I just can't help myself...I actually went over to Natalia's place cause I thought I was gonna deal, but brought $200 bucks just in case to give some action cause she has been comin to the Pink game and gave me a dealer spot at one of her games she hosts...I knew her normal dealer was back in town, and she called me to just come over...I did indeed deal a couple shifts, but really didn't feel like it, so I told her I wanted to just jump in the game and give action...and thats what I did...

Dealt 2 shifts cause the table was full so might as well try to make some tip money to freeroll most of my buy in...

3-4-5...is the game of choice there...Its 3 card holdem H/L, 4 card which is Omaha H/L, then 5 card Omaha H/L...crazy action game and the limits there is $5-$10...comparing to the pink game, aint that many chips being tossed around using the normal $5 red chips...

It was pretty funny that Leonard, one of the hosts asked me to just deal instead of playing cause he said I don't know what I'm getting myself into....I don't know how they "Play" the game...I've dealt the game once before and watch the donkiness that I was stepping into...and yes, they play like some donks...Its an older crowd with the youngest being me and Eric while the rest of the crowd is 50+...Its an older crowd compared to the games I've dealt at or been too...and its funny just to watch them play...anyway, knowing how they played, I went into the game playing good starting hands...not sure what was good starting hands, but made sure it was hands that could run into the nuts both ways...and bailed when I thought my hand was dead or comin in 2nd best...and it worked, specially how aggressive they can be raising with the shittiest hands ever and getting there...they play so bad, but I came out on top...alot...cashing out with a decent profit out of there....

This brings me to what I was thinking about on the ride home last night, Maybe I'm not running bad, but PLAYING bad...I think when I am playing NL, My patience is thin, and forcing alot of hands to win...playing over aggressive as well...I'm going to give NL another shot this Wednesday at Travis House on Wednesday...I can go to Goodfellas game tonight, but would rather just chill out and not press my luck, and relax at home, clean up, and hang out and have some time to myself maybe read some books, watch a DVD, and get some sleep for a change...Hopefully I won't play so bad at Trav and Nelly's game this comin Wednesday...

End of the week review....

Going with my better judgement, I didn't play at Trav's and Nelly's game this week...I said I wouldn't play any any NL Games this month so I stayed home, I almost went, but said if there was no seat at start, I would stay home, and I did...and saved me a few Hundred bucks!

Thursday Night I dealt Steve's $1-$3 NL Game...He had a $500 Freeroll for the top 10 players last month who logged in the most hours at his game...game was pretty strong till early morning when the game was about to break, and I decided since I wasn't going to get in another shift, to let Bi continue to deal and I sat down and played, I sat with an un-even amount of chips from my tips which was $72 bucks and ran into pocket Aces, got paid off for a double up...grabbed a small pot from Travis, then got dealt AQ that was raisd to $17 and called by 4 players, QQ9 fell on the board and the original raiser lead out with a $30 bet, folded around to Steve who just calls and I pushed all in, D folded and Steve shows me a Q...after telling him Q is no good, he still calls my push and my AQ holds up...game breaks before a full orbit goes around to me and I'm up $320

Pink game ran pretty strong breaking around 7:30 am and I ran my stack to a little over 2 racks and started bleeding them away...got in a big hand when it was 6 players, with the game threating to break, limped 5 ways in a kill pot, flop comes out, and I don't remember the exact flop or cards I had, but Me and Nelly obviously flopped the nut straight as it gets capped 4 ways...turn comes out which gives me the bigger straight, which gets capped 4 ways again....river comes out that pairs the board and completes a club flush as well...everyone is scared with an all in and it gets checked down....travis shows down an Ace-high flush with a low which was the perfect card for Travis, he flopped two to the low and turned a flush draw for the high, river is where he caught both sides of the pot and scoops it for a HUGE pot...maybe Travis can post the hand history on that hand...I blew up and its not too many times I blow up, I wasn't mad at Kenny or Travis for playing that hand, I would've done the same as Travis, I was just very upset that it happened at the time it did cause I have no chance to pick up the chips I lost in that pot...Nice Hand sir!

Went over to Pops game on saturday to play some $1-2 NL and it was against my better Judgement, Shipped $235 before taking my daughter to the movies...came back to Pops house and ran into a dealer spot in the Box cause Christian was leaving, Made back over $200 in tip money in 2 hours which brought me $8 shy of breaking even for the evening, so I decided to jump into the game cause it was going short and wanted to keep the game going...sat with only $150 and shipped it...I need to listen to my self and not play....

But I can say I am up for the week which is a good thing! I'm going to keep a better track of my bankroll this year and made up a spread sheet to keep track of these things, luckily I have a Treo 700wx which has MS Excel so I can bring it with me everywhere I go and update it on the spot!

2007 is Here!

I hope everyone had a great Holiday and New Years! 2007, gonna be alot of changes for me...hopefully for the better!

I at least started the year off good with a win...not too big of a win, but a win is a win right?

Went over to Big Chris house for the New Years Eve get-together with the crew...Rosslyn and Tamara cooked a good meal for all of us to celebrate a new year...and since we were all together, fuck it, lets play some poker...Lots of blazing caused me to Pass out off a couging spell which freaked pretty much everyone out...I woke up and didn't even notice I blacked out, and carried on like nothin happened...pretty funny if you ask me, thats the 2nd time that has happened to me, but last time happened over 10 years ago over a chick named Erin's house after hitting a 5 footer Bong...anyway, brought the new years raking in a pot which was cool!!! This session, I was playing Heinz Poker the whole game after shipping over $140 bucks to Kenny when my pocket 7s didn't set to his pocket Aces...I should've listened to my instincts and that article in Bluff Magazine that said I was gonna be runnin bad in January and making terrible decisions...Heh, I ended up $15 bucks ahead at the end of the night!

Happy calls me the next day so I hit up Keon to go over there to play his $ .50/$1 NL game...Him and Skills has been running for a while, I just never go over there...I won't go into too much details about the game, but just say after attending alot of the games in our own circuit, I'm very spoiled when it came to his game...very disappointing...But it was good to see them and play with them again...I didn't want to go in the first place, but felt obligated for some reason and it was a $200 obligation...fuckin sucked lik shit, first game of the year, stuck $200...

Luckily, Natalia calls me the next day to deal her game because her regular dealer is still out of town, I jumped at the opportunity to deal it, her game is 3 variations of Omaha H/L8...they call it 3-4-5....3 card/4 Card/5 card Omaha H/L 8 with a High Hand Bonus every 3 hours...Networked with some new players that don't like holdem like the craze has been, so I naturally invited them over to play in my mixed game, now we have some new players for the Pink game coming very soon! and they are Action-Marathon Players!!!! tips weren't that well, but it helped out to even out the loss I already took...

Now I told myself that was it for me as far as playing in January, but I think I'll stop by Trav and Nelly's place and play a little $1-$2 NL for a while...if a seat is open at start of game...if not, then I will be chillin in the house!!!!!!

Can't wait till January is over and get back into the groove of playing again! Till then, I'll let this bad run, run its course and try to rebuild the roll I lost the last week of December....

What a year this has been!!!

I managed to make it through the year with out a real job off dealing the local poker games and playing!!!! It has been rough though, I won't lie and it isn't an easy living...very stressfull and I don't get out as much as far as having fun with friends and family...That would be the only downside of this whole thing...maybe cause I have to grind at lower stake limits...But am I ready to step it up to a higher stake? I think not...I think I have to improve my game alot...I have to discipline myself alot and hopefully I can make 2007 a much more profitable yeah with alot more cushion to my bankroll...maybe if the money stops burning a hole in my pocket would help out alot...But December has been real good to me...I was running really well this month so I expect to run real bad in January...I don't think im that good to overcome fate or beat bad luck with skill to run well enough to make a huge profit this month so Im starting the '07 year with a break from poker, read a little more books, try to work on leaks in my game and alot of self improvement...as far as my health is concerned...and definately start building a bankroll to start off when I do get back on the felt opposite side of the box...

Being that the Holiday has caused me to miss blogging on a daily basis, let me catch up on the events that has been happening to close the year out...I just wish my last entry for the year could be a good one....Heh...Picture that...

After a good session at Goodfellas game, I dealt the College Park Game...Nothing new there, 'cept I got a little paranoid after blazing with charlie and got extra paranoid for some reason and cut out early LOL...it was morning anyway so I just called it a night....

Pink game went on as usual...It was a full game, but fell victim to Insta Break after Travis and Nelly had to leave a little earlier than Normal because of travel out of town for Christmas...I didn't ship it which was a good thing when I finally got into the game, but I didn't get to play long so I still wanted to play!!! Called Bill for the CP game and he said the game was about to break around 5am...I'll just call it a night and wait till saturday to play over in CP...

By the time I got myself together saturday Night, wanted to do some last minute shopping for Christmas, Called CP if the game was still going, game broke early, very early wow....tried hard to look for a game and a $2-$5 NL game was goin on in Montgomery County...when I called it was short handed so I said screw it, Bought $150 from Keenan on Absolute Poker and played online for the rest of the night...I played a $9K guaranteed Tourney online with bounties on the pros...$100 Buy in...Wasn't feeling it with 10 minutes left to start and tried to unregister, but can't...i missed the unregister deadline...I HAVE TO PLAY NOW...played well till I decided to play real bad when I flopped top pair with a KQo to a raise and 3 callers...guy in front of my pushed all in, Thought about it, called and the guy behind me just called as well...we checked it down cause dude was all in and he had Ak which domintaed me...Then got dealt AQs and pushed all in and got smashed by a guy holding a pair of 7s which held up...I was on the table with Lacey Jones also...

Big Chris had a Game on Christmas Eve...$1-$1 NL and I headed over there and proceded to play like an asshole...raisiing any 2 cards as normal over there, and flopping straights as soon as I sat down...wow..it was sick how hard I got hit with the deck...then all of a sudded shipped it, got it back, then shipped it again...I got in a hand with Frank where I flopped an OESD to his AQo where he hit Top Pair...He bet out, I raised him, He re-raised me, I went all in and he called, I tagged my straight on the turn and he argued the shit outta me that I made a bad play repushing when he re-raised me...I was supposed to respect that raise or somethin...I been hittin my draws all night, I was willing to rebuy if I missed but hit my draw...He argued with me which actually tilted me and I proceded to ship it the rest of the night....I didn't go broke over there, but remained stuck a small bit when I decided to cash out and go home...

Christmas was great, had a good time, felt good giving presents to everyone and spending time with the family....but what to do after that? I was supposed to run Travis and Noelle's game on Wednesday since they leave for Vegas on the 26th...I say happened to talk to Keon and say if the game doesn't go, Lets head to AC in the morning, Tuesday comes around and I locked a seat for Goodfellas Game in Odenton...Keon texted me and asked whats up with a game...I said Wednesday game isn't loking grim, but there is a game in Odenton, since Its that far from my place (20-25 minutes) We might as well just go to Atlantic City since the game was a no go for Wednesday...didn't take that much convincing to head to AC and we were off to AC around 6PM...cancelled my lock seat at Goodfellas game and headed to the Trop...

Got to the Trop and was seated at a boring, no action table...any raise, everyone folded...so I decided to play a little loose...picked up a couple pots here and there...then a guy sits down with glasses, and his iPod, starts raggin on a guy that has a ton of white chips...tryin to be cool...so I started talkin shit to him as well...I ended up busting him with AK when he tried to make a move, I raised him he went into the tank, exchaged some words and he pushed on my ass...insta call, my pair of aces held up, he picked his cards up and he did that with 3rd pair....he got up and left LOL...up a little over a meatball now, but shipped it missing my draws...rebuy, now im in the game for $400...shipped it...went over to Keon where he was sat on the same type of table and couldn't wait to leave...we head over to the Taj for the Midnite Tournament...

I busted 2 players the first 2 rounds and I was table captain till our table broke...I was running really well...it was 202 players in the tournament and I made it down to 6 tables left where blinds were outragouse at this point of the tournament...i raised pocket 77s 4x the BB and it was pretty much a 1/3 of my stack, guy pushed on me and I insta called cause we are heads up., figured I would race here..He turns over AQo and tags his Q on the river and he has me covered...I was looking for a double up to cruise to the final table, but lost that race, im out...by that time its almost 5am and decide to sit in a $5-$10 Limit game....I shipped $100 and figured it was time to go take a nap in the car cause I am not paying attention when I mucked a chopped pot that actually hurt me...stuck $550 before I go take a nap...

Take my nap and wake up and see Keon is still at the same table but with out the chips he had built before I went and napped...sitting there watching him, I decided to sit down and play to liven up the table...In for another $200, ran it up again to close to $400, shipped it down to $75, add on another ball...and shipped it, Keon shipped it, and decided that was enough ass kicking for the both of us to leave and go the hell home! stuck $850....I told Keon I was gonna run bad on the way up...I was due to run bad as well as I was running this month....

On the way home, I picked up a Bluff magazine and in the back there was a column with horrorscopes...I didn't read the whole columb but only read my reading...I look for Piscese and read the first line...."Jeez, you are fucked for the month, cards, dice, sports, romance, anything....." wow, thats pretty scary huh? Just more of a confirmation to take a break in January to build my roll up...

Not to mention I think we had a bite from Kharma as well...I get home, and because me and Keon didn't show up at the Odenton game, the game didn't go as there were only 5 players there with some coming from far that didn't get to play...Last I knew, the game was gonna be packed with a wait list so I didn't think the 2 of us mattered if we showed up or not...guess it did, and since we fucked his game up, Kharma fucked us up in AC....

I wish my last entry and my last trip to AC could be a good one, But the last game of the year at least for me will be tonights Pink Game, game is full at the time, I hope I don't have to jump in cause I know I'm runnin bad...supposed to go to Diggs New Years Party/game as well...he asked me to deal it, decided I wanted to play instead, got Kenny a gig to deal, now I'm going to see if I can split shifts with him instead of playing, if not, I might play, but I might just go to party though...

Went over to Goodfellas game tonight...I was first on the wait list...finally got a seat around 10:30 or so...

won a couple of pots, lost a couple of pots and I paid a dude named Ricky off when we both flopped a King but his Ace was too big for my Q...sittin on around $76 bucks from my original $200 buy in...raised 36s in mid position to Tension...tons of callers...flop came out K3J...check to me and I shove my stack in there...everyone folds to Paul who thinks about it, then folds a K on there, I show my 36s for a nice pot...now im sittin on a little over $125...rebuild rebuild rebuild...helped that the deck hit me over the head...tons of pairs....my draws were getting there and i was getting paid off...

Stacked Merk on 1 hand when I raised my AQo and Merk just smooth calls me...we are heads up and I fire at the flop when it comes Q96(2 spades), I fired $20 on the flop and get raised to $45...I insta call and turn brought a 7...i check, he fires out $50, I call...river brings a J...he shoves his stack in for $132 and I think about it and call..."good call" flips over K7s...he ships it...

win more pots here and there...Ran my stack to $1100 before Kenny calls he is leaving at 1:30, Merk said the same thing, so I might as well leave as well...But Merk leaves a little earlier when he couldn't pull a bluff off to Rob with trip aces and he cashes out whatever he had left..he was pretty pissed...

I wait 2 rounds before cashing out a little after 1:30 for $1010....pretty good session...Been running pretty good this month..up a little over $3K for the month....hope this keeps up!

luckily....Steve has been dealing all night, Meyoung has been there all night, Nooj comes in the door and Encore asked him to hold the fort down till he gets back....Steve says he will be back by 10:30 as well...I offer to get in the box till they get back so nooj doesn't have so much shit to do as far as running the game and being in the box since I was the only dealer present at that time...im safer on the other side anyway, so dealt till about 10:30 and not only made my money back that I lost, made some profit..walking out of there and heading to Big chris house to donk it up with the fellas now...freerollin I might add!

There were alot of whispering between them...I figured out they were tellin each other what my tells were when i was bluffing or had a real hand..Maybe they did, maybe they didn't, what I know is that I act different for each certain situation with certain players...he might be on point though...I guess if you have a good read on me, you would be winning the pots from me...Right??? I remember stacking Frank twice, maybe 3 times last night cause he had a "read" on me...

All I know is ever since kenny said they were talking about me ...what happened to E with the different way I have been playing lately...more aggressive to them...but nothing has changed...They are speaking like they mouth be watering when they know im comin to the game...i haven't lost since Kenny told me that...and I will never lose again...stamp that today...I will never have a losing session over Big Chris House!!!! Now they think they have tells on me...oh lawd, wait to see whats in store next sunday or wheneva next time they have a game! Its a $1-$1 Game and I play differently when I play $1-$2 NL or the Pink Game...I can play like a loose cannon and have fun playing, chasing, sucking out cause it won't cost me a million dollars to see the next card like these other games we be playin at locally! Plus its fun to call all ins with Q6o to see the other guy sweat when i tag a 6 on the flop, but get out turned...its still funny to see the looks on these faces when the bullshit gets there! hahahahahahaa Ship It!!!!!!!!!!

Some of the old school came to meet the new school this time around with some new faces showing up!

What can I say, I really love the Pink Game!!! I'm pretty sure you can mind a non-holdem' game in town, but it aint like the pink game! **Mental Note..BUY MORE PINK CHIPS!!!**

Yup..Apparently, Its not enough pink chips for play in this game...The Action can get pretty sick!

Game started last night at 8PM and ended...might I add because I HAD TO CUT THE GAME SHORT..because of other previous engagements...like my Daughters Birthday Party lol...anyway, the game cut short at 11:45AM...I could've easily got another game started cause it was only 4 handed at the end of the night...pretty sure I could've gotten more players to come back out to play!!!

Anyway, ran my original $200 buy in down that I had to add-on another $100 when i was down to $75 bucks...I looked down to a 3-story high stack of pink chips...close to $800 bucks...then I never seen such a swing...within 30 minutes...im back down to my original $300 buy in...Travis jumped back in the box and I told him he was getting his revenge back on me when I scooped a huge Stud h/l pot with AJ high and an 86 low...maybe im wrong, but he looked tilted the whole downswing of his stack till he jumped in the box...

Anyway...after that downswing, I ended up running my stack to 5 racks...ended up shipping the 5th rack 4-handed...Kenny didn't do too bad either sitting with over 3 racks...too bad he just didn't know how to keep those racks!

Shipped a couple rows of the 4th rack at the end of the game ending the game with a $930 cash out!

Scooter raised it to $12 to go...2 callers behind him, im next to act..."upstairs" $40 straight to roll....I believe 2 callers after me, including Scooter....Flop was low...Something like 368r...checks around to me, I make it $75..folds to scooter who pushes...$83 more..."Call" Turn brings 9, Can't remember the river, but im drawing dead...."Straight" Scooter says...flips over the monster 7cTc...for $40 bucks preflop...Nice Hand Sir!

Now I'm not one to tilt...maybe I am and just don't notice...but I try not to tilt so massively...At least I try to set my mind to pull out of it...Really its something that I shouldn't be mad about...I want that call preflop...I had my stack in the middle with the best of it with 80% to win the hand...I don't know if Scooter thought I was bullshittin or just tryin to outflop me...but for some reason that shit pissed me off...then on top of that...Scooter finally found his voice to talk shit now that he got chips in front of him...So I proceded to leak all my chips...I find myself being able to recover most of the time, but last night...I Couldn't get out of it...I just OD'ed off Tilt and there was no return....

I read an article in Bluff Magazine about bad beats and how, I think it was Annie Duke's Article, that these type of bad beats don't fade her...she says nice hand, and moves on. Just like she writes in the article...you want these type of plays cause in the long run, its always profitable...sometimes, luck gets in the way of it...and I agree with that 100% which is why I learned to take the bad beats...but its hard...its really hard to keep that mentality at all times...I ran my stack to a little over $600 pretty easily...and shipped it off even easier...after having a decent stack in a $1-$2 Game to look down and its gone off some bullshit...can really throw you off our game...After that hand, I played so horrible....I played soooo bad....

What should I do when that happens...lets see...with the circumstances last night...game got short...2 players talking bout they are leaving within 30 minutes....I look at my stack...im still up, not as much, but im up a little over $150 over my original buy in...I should go home...specially steaming....Another way to look at it is...it could've been worse, I'm still in the black...no worries and play solid till the game breaks...get up for a breather before gettin back in the game...don't force wins either...I have to remember I want these fish to play the way they do...so don't berate the player...make them feel good about their play and get them to play the same way and let the cards do the talking, let the chip stack do the talking...bottom line, LET IT GO!!!....no reason to tilt specially if you are still holding a profit and making the correct DECISION before the bad beat happens...

I could've walked out with a small profit...now im stuck $200 that should be sitting in my bankroll thanks to

At first I Didn't want to make that trek...but he said it would be a seat open when I got there...so we on the way now....

I can't leave a fun roller coaster ride! ran my stack down to $250 again...then the power of the duece-four prevails...the only one that respects the revised is Travis...I take a huge pot from Keon when I hit a wheel to his 2 pair..he neve saw it comin...

Ryan at the end of the night, shoves his chips in on a A24 board...Adam bets out $30, I insta call, Ryan calls as well....4 hits the turn...adam checks, i check, Ryan shoves all in, almost $100 or so...insta call...he is sick....very sick....wow, from a $550 swing, my stack is up to almost $900...playing 5 handed with Adam playing very aggressive, I was looking him up, but he was runnin really well last couple hands of the night...shipped some of my stack...I walked out with a $145 profit...whew...I tell you what, I Refuse to throw another party like that again...

Dealing Bill's game tonight, then Pink Game Friday, Pops game Saturday, Deal again on Sunday...Hopefully I get to pick up a new TV on Sunday if the lady didn't sell it...a 43-inch Hitatchi Flatscreen HDTV for my living room, $300 bucks...Can't beat that!

Argument Went Real Good!!

Sunday, went over Big Chris house..was supposed to deal Zach's Game, but really wasn't in the mood to deal...plus I was runnin around doing errands and was back home late, so I decided to go over to Chris house and play with them...

Raise...Raise...Raise...Raise...was the story of the night

I raised EVERY SINGLE HAND I WAS DEALT! They were sick too...Not only did I catch on the flop, even when i bet the flop lawd if i got to the turn, i was takin it down regardless...It was a roller coaster ride though, got in the game for $100, was down as low as $60 bucks...then peaked at almost $400...Mind you this is a $1-$1 NL game...

I Stacked Frank a good couple times...Frank cracked my KK with 66..I raised it to $11 preflop, he goes all in, i insta call..he is sick to see KK till the flop sets his 6s...I ship it...

I got mad at.... you guess it, Rosslyn cause for some apparant reason, she doesn't like playin with me...anyway, I raised preflop with A3 and Tamara was the only one to call me...flop came out 833...I bet it out and Tamara thinks for a while...Rosslyn says somethin like, don't be scared to call him...I said, please don't coach the players, she said she can say anything she wants too...I immediately argued with her, she was not in the hand, there is money in the pot and you CAN NOT help make the decision for her to call or not, she goes on and on and so do I and I actually get mad...Tamara calls and i said see, she probably wasn't gonna call...turn brought an Ace and I slam my chips in the middle like im mad that she did make the call LOL she ends up calling me and I say ship it, 3s full of Aces...ooops...I say...see, you made your own girl lose money coaching the players..good read Rosslyn..after that, I tried to get Jizzle to straddle and slid him chips to straddle...Rosslyn got Rule natzi on me and i was like ok...thats fine...I'll get her next time...she pretty much likes to lift her cards BEHIND her chips then make an action...I told myself next time I have decent hand that I don't mind going up against her stack, i would hold that as a bet all in...she would've been sick too lol...anyway, after that, i kept callin her all types of fish...singing i was gonna stack her..and I ended up doing it...lol

Booo No Pink...Yeah!!! Atlantic City Here I Come!!!

It was a hard decision to not throw the Pink Game this Friday, but I Decided it was in my best interest not to throw it because last week, we played 3 days in a row at the spot where I host my games at...Pink ran from Friday till Saturday Morning, went home got a couple hours of sleep to go back to run a $1-$2 NL game there which ran till Sunday Morning...So I decided it was in my best interest to chill this week and head up to AC with my folks around the way to celebrate Rosslyn's Birthday.

Travis ran the Pink game at his spot so the regulars won't have absolutely nothing to do..plus its not a Friday without Pink!!!

Anyway, we head up to AC and I believe I played the best ever...not only cause I came out a winner, but because I didn't need good cards to play, I layed down monster hands when I should've, I was outplaying alot of the table, it probably helped that I had a huge stack in front of me, but it had to get there some how...and alot of raising, it sure feels good not to owe people money, and now my money aint scared money!!!

My plan was to play Pink, but when we got there, it was a 6 person wait, so I sat at the $1-$2 NL Table and it looked weak...Got in the game for $200 and first hour i was up to a little over $450...I don't ever remembering going under the $200..just went up and up and up and up!

I played a long session, the whole time we were up there till we left, it definately was more than a 20+ session, so I can't recall alot of hands...I just know the worse hands was winning and the best hands were standing up! I wish I can remember some big hands cause there were some big hands...but I did leak alot, at one point, my peak was $1300 and I ran it down to $600 at one point...Got it back up to around $800 and then got it back to $1300 with a big hand...Good guy, sat to my left, he wanted to check it down after the flop after he raised me and I called...I flopped 2 pair with QJ and it was 2 diamonds on the board, he has 4 to the flush on that flop, turn brought a Q, we both checked, River brought a diamond, I thought for a minute and threw a $50 bet out there...he went all in for a little over $300, insta call, he caught his nut flush, but was no good to da boat! I slid him $50 bucks to get back in the game, he was a good kid and he was the last person I wanted to stack at the table, next to JB, the old black guy that muscled the night away like I did...we both were tryin to outplay each other the whole time, we kept it real good between us 3...anyway, he played that last niffty and tried to double up with pocket 7s cept he ran it into AA. See ya homie...

I doubled up JB when I raised preflop to $15 with 44, he was the only one that called me and we were heads up...Flop came out A69, I bet, he called, ok, I put him on a big ace at this time, turn brought a 4, BOOM, Set of 4s, i check, he checks, River came J, I bet, $50, he raised me to $100, I went all in, he insta called his stack of around $250...i flip over set of 4s, he has a set of Aces...OUCH...we laughed...but inside I was mad as shit. LOL

I had a good time, cept for the Leaking...i swear I think I tipped over $300...oh, reminds me...I was so tired...I ordered a black coffee, this is after I went on a small tilt after doubling up the new chinese guy when he rivered a straight on me...I even raised his dumb ass on the flop with a big Jack and he though and called, he did have a gutshot when I raised him...I bet the turn, he still chasing and catches on the river...i never put him on that retarded draw...so anyway, waitress comes back with my coffee, not looking i tipped her a green chip...ooops...she sounded real happy and was like, that was odd, so did JB and the dealer, i looked down, i had 1 green chip left, "Shit, i think i gave her a green chip" the whole table was laughing, I was too, but damn, JB was like, ask for it back, I was like, na, thats like taking candy from a baby, I'll let her have it, did you hear how excited she was? she came back, dealer said you should ask her, i did, i said, don't worry about it if i did, but I Did give you a green chip right? she said yup, thats the first I ever got that too, she said thank you again, i said no problem, now i want another OJ/Pineapple juice please lol

oh, another hand, biggest fish ever...had pocket 10s and the fish called me in the 10 seat...check-call guy all night...I bet $35 to see where he was at, he called, I know he has an ace, so im pretty much done the betting and with the hand....boom, turn a 10, i bet out $50, he just calls, his stack aint that big after that bet, so I don't understand why he didn't push, oh thats right, previous hand, he had the best hand, but he only called the bet, he left 6 bucks behind instead of shoving it in...so i got him when he just trippled up...river brought a 10d now there are 3 diamonds on the board...i bet, thinks, he finally shoves and turns over a diamond flush...nh sir, 2 pair..ship it...he slams the table and gets up....

Thinkin of why he would've slammed his chips, I might of been a bit over board actin like an asshole during the hand...When I hit the set of 10s on the turn, he was takin a little while to make a decision, so I threw the dealer a red chip and said, NH, this is my pot, so I'll tip you now since he is takin long...dealers work off tips right?, table laughed and he just looked at me funny...He finally made the call...On the river after my bet, he took a little while again to call off his stack, He had roughly about $40 behind him and one of the stacks was a 4 stack of reds, I pointed to the stack and said "dealer, if he calls, this stack is your tip" table laughed again and he shoved....ooops

anyway, in for $200, cash out for $1400...never rebuying or even going under my buy in...

of course i took a picture, but did it at a time where alot of people werent looking, so they don't think i never had a stack like that, or look at me like im a pressed asshole...but yall know me, i like taking pictures of my bigger than normal stacks!

its at around $1100, so it wasn't the full $1400, felt good walking to the cage with 3 racks of red!

Went over to Travis' game on Wednesday to play some $1-$2 NL. Lost my stack to Bartender Pete when he flopped top and bottom with 86 and I caught top pair with the nut flush draw with A8...Pete bet the flop, I Raised him, he went all in, i insta call and couldn't catch my draw....i shipped it...

The most I was up was a good $50 for the night, but that didn't last long...
New guy in 1st seat I got the money from too...8 high board, i believe 258 and it was folded around to me and I bet at it for $17 bucks with A5...he raised me to $40, i call quick...turn brought another 8 out and i bet out $75 and he folds, mumbles somethin I was supposed to fold...I ask Why and I get no responce...

I doubled Matt up when I gave the rock to the guy to my right when it was his time to straddle so I can restraddle him...Matt was just finishing talkin shit to me how he was gonna stack me and he raised my straddle to $24 bucks, I raised it to $50 and he threw the rest of his stack in there and so did I, i had him covered, and flop, turn, river didn't help my AQd improve to his QQ...

I shipped it back to the new guy in Seat 1 at the end of the night to an OE straight draw and I aint have the stack to fold..I just shoved it all in there after we saw the flop and I went home...wasn't gonna drop too much money cause the plan was to go to AC on Friday....
